  1. I have been carrying a SVI for about 10 years now. I carry it with standard LE 40 ammo (Winchester Ranger). I have not had a problem with reliability. Like everyone else has said, just make sure you continuously check your gun.
  2. This is interesting. Does anyone know why she left. It would be cool to see her go with H&K or CZ.

    HK parts

I called H&K not to long ago asking this same question. They offer some parts on their website webstore, but the selection is bad, really bad. www.hkparts.net seems to be the best source. However, you can find parts at Midway and Gun Parts (an outfit in NY). The customer service rep also said that if I could not find it at the places he suggested to give him a call back and they will see what they could do for me. He should have just offered to help me there and then. I ended up getting one part from hkparts and the other part from Midway.
  4. Does anyone know if there will be a match at West Point this year? I flew in for the last two matches and had a great time.
  5. Excellent book. This and The Bible are what sit on my nightstand.
  6. This case should hold 4+ handguns. I have a 1500 configured to hold 5 handguns (http://www.casesbypelican.com/military/m9-5pack.htm).
  7. .30 cal @ 3000 fps or less. Max range was about 600-700 yards last year. You can get by with a "standard" cartridge. damn, I have been itching to debut my 338 at a match. I guess I will just run my AI. Thanks for the response.
  8. I do not think they are heavily modified. In fact, I don't think there are any mods. Savage makes a rifle called the F-class, which many people cannot rave enough about. Check out http://accurateshooter.wordpress.com/ they have written a bit about the Savage F-class rifle winning several competitions. The Savage F-class is an excellent rifle. It can and will outshoot many 3k+ custom guns.
  9. Congratulations, and welcome to the club.
  10. I recommend the C-products mags over factory DPMS. They are cheaper and they seem to have less problems. +1 for www.44mag.com Palmetto State Armory also has them.
  11. I will definitely be there. Are there caliber restrictions? I am thinking about running a 338 Lapua Magnum.
  12. http://www.glockmeister.com/ definitely sells them
  13. Double tap has them in stock and ready to go. I think there is a bit of a wait for Starline. You may also want to check out http://www.scharch.com/
  14. I have been running a 6" limited for the last three years. I will never go back. I currently have two and I am thinking about getting a third. The sight radius is indispensable.
  15. I would recommend 308. Some matches require 308 or 223. However, 260 caliber is up there as well. If you only want to buy one rifle, then I would consider a switch barrel setup. Get one barrel in 308 and another in 260. Personally, between the two, I would go with 260. It will be hard to beat 6.5.
  16. This is a good question. I am glad to see it addressed.
  17. These guns are extremely popular. I have 3. Davidson's had about 6 come in the other day. They were gone in a matter of minutes. You may want to check with Glockmeister, they have everything.
  18. kgunz thanks for the information (heads up). I wish we would hear much more from guys like you. I feel like most shooters are in the dark with respect to industry happenings. I will plan accordingly.

    SP101

I have also observed that recently Ruger triggers seem to be equal, if not better than S&W triggers. With regards to women and handguns. You need to ask yourself if your wife has a harder time racking the slide on a semi-auto, or pulling the trigger on a revolver. My wife has an easier time pulling the trigger on a revolver, and she finds it tremendously difficult to rack a slide on a semi-automatic. One thing I like about the SP101 is that it is a pleasure to shoot. This is important, because one must really practice with their defense gun. Being a pleasure to shoot will make practice easier and more enjoyable. In turn, you will become more proficient.
  20. I work for Uncle Sam, just a small department within Homeland Security.
  21. My company just received a couple of the LMT 308 ARs for T&E. They are pretty sweet, and from my experience, they are fairly priced. I am not sure when they will hit the market, but definitely worth checking out. We are currently using KAC SR-25s. They are a bit overated. Armalite makes a quality product too, but they have a monopoly on certain parts.
  22. That is a tough question. I will be staying on the strip. I will also be staying in Vegas for an extra week. God I love that place.
  23. Its fine thats the beauty of the clubs here in az they are not whiny beetchiiz like some clubs I took the RO class with this guy. He often complained that USPSA had TOO many rules. It was even more difficult squadding with him. I have always thought the rules were well thought out, to even the playing field amongst its participants.
  24. I think this one may be considered the best: http://www.sargentandgreenleaf.com/PL-833.php I don't think anyone will be able to defeat this.
