  1. 1983 is embossed on the bottom, Thanks.
  2. Head got cut off in pic, it has a B zone and in the head "A" zone box it has "A/B". I'll post a better pic later.
  3. This target came out of our ranges storage, anyone have any info on it? Note the little "C" zones in the lower right corners of the B & D zones. Has USPA/IPSC if you zoom in. Thanks.
  4. Yeah, I check their site weekly looking for them. Thanks.
  5. Got four Italy made 21 round mags with my Sig Max. None fit the EGW gauge with stock basepads. Bought two TTI extensions and Grams followers & springs, hold 23 easily reloadable, but don't fit the gauge. They don't miss fitting the gauge by much, they can probably be made to fit with a little judicious sanding, but still annoying. And not fitting with the stock basepads is just ridiculous. Bought two Springer Precision extensions and Grams springs & follower kits. Both hold 23, are easily reloadable, and fit the gauge. Best part is the Springer units are cheaper than the TTI.
  6. The Taurus TX22 comes with 16 round magazines, and it works well. Gun has a decent trigger, there's a cat who makes an aftermarket trigger that makes in better. The rim end of the rounds are staggered to avoid needing to curve the mag. It's pretty slick. Similar to the S&W AR 22 magazines. If course it's a Taurus, so long term reliability may or may not be an issue.
  7. So you're going to be a hair slower making sure you don't miss steel, or you're going to be a hair slower making sure you don't have a pocketful of Charlie's in every stage...
  8. I'm a painfully average shooter, and for me Major almost always results in higher scores. Extra shots are nice when you need them, but taking them isn't free, every shot costs time. Not as much as a standing reload, but still not free.
  9. As a left handed shooter, the offset mag catch is a huge improvement. With the OEM, the point digs into your finger tip when ejecting a mag. The offset unit is slightly extended forward, and flat where the finger activates it. Much nicer.
  10. Finally! Wondering about the price now.
  11. They're pretty simple to load, easier than the 19 round horse shoe, and the Pro Mag version works fine in my gun out of the box. That was a pleasant surprise.
  12. My FDE VR80 worked with Herters 1050 fps shells right out of the box. Also has a nice, 3.5 lb trigger with no grittiness. Not crazy about the color (it was all that was available when I found it), or the long handguard, but I'll take functional and ugly over pretty, but with issues. Only thing I've done to it is change buttstock to collapsible and added an AR pistol grip.
  13. Nope and nope. You gotta grind them down. And replacements cost $150.00.
  14. You only need one for the start, reload with 19 or 10 sticks. Carrying that pig in a belt would be unwieldy. It is sweet though, mine works perfectly, and it's just the standard drum, not the uber-pricy Tooth and Nail Armory version.
  15. No, there's no fin on the baseplate retainer on the 19 round mags
  16. Also, 9 round mags easily become 10 round mags by removing the fin on the baseplate retainer thing.
  17. They're cheap, and worth twice the cost. https://www.a3gmunitions.com/product/vr80-magazine-loader/
  18. Buy a mag loader, it presses down in the brass part of the shell, and holds it until the case being inserted is nearly all the way in. Makes life much easier.
  19. Safariland is always just an inch short of being perfect. The USPSA kit holster hanger would be great if the sold the little ball that connects the holster to the hanger, that way I could buy a bunch of these little parts and have the ability to quickly and inexpensively change holsters. The hanger in this thread would benefit from being offset, and connecting the holster to the hanger a little higher on the hanger to keep it from digging into cat's thighs. Always close, but never perfect. Kind of annoying.
  20. Mystified me more that they put huge paddles on the levers, and made them overlap the slide, AND CAUSE THE GUN TO NOT FIT IN THE USPSA PRODUCTION BOX on these safeties that will rarely be used. That and not making a quality wraparound grip.
  21. Will the slide accept a bushing? In other words, is the groove that locks the bushing tab into the slide machined into the slide?
  22. An easier (for USPSA) solution would be to have an indexed, searchable, online library of NROI decisions, and anytime an issue is decided by NROI or any of its representatives based on an e mail/phone call/text/online submitted question, have it included in this library.
  23. Yeah, same here, the only even remotely big matches I shoot are the ones we have at our range here (Prescott AZ), so I'm not too worried about it. Still, USPSA should address the issue officially. It's one of the reasons why we pay dues.
  24. It can be modified, like you stated, you gotta take a big chunk off the inside of each side, then trim the bottom. I did it and they work great, only issues are they have a tiny gap in the backstrap where the two halves meet, and it has that "home-made" look. If I had a milling machine it would have been easy, but with a Dremel and some files, it's a lot of work. Feels much better than the cheesy plastic grip Beretta provides though, so totally worth the trouble. Also I used the Hogue G10 grips, they were like $69.00. I figure if I forq them up, I'd rather they not be so expensive.
