  1. Tried a search, found nothing. Anybody have any info on these, (https://www.armscor.com/ria-50). Supposedly not striker fired, and no thumb safety, is that going to be an issue in Production or Carry Optics?
  2. It's actually pretty nice in that the locking mechanism isn't easily disengaged by accident. Can't believe that still haven't fixed the aesthetics if this already, it's been this way for as long as I can remember (bought mine over ten years ago).
  3. Oof!! Hello Operator, I'd like to report a murder...
  4. It'd have been cool if they made it with a roller delayed operating system on a standard PCC lower (Colt or Glock mags) and side charging upper. $2,000.00 MSRP for the whole gun, $1,500.00 for the upper. Call it the SA5, they'd sell a million of them the first year.
  5. I have one of each, both are reliable, both have 42 rounds in the mags, both are about equal when it comes to reloads (as infrequently as you reload a PCC). The Colt mag gun (Spikes Tactical lower) seemed to feed smoother until I got a Taccom ramped barrel on the Glock mag gun, both feed smoothly now. Can't say enough good things about Taccom stuff. Colt mags are theoretically more durable, the extension is on steel lips vs. the plastic at the bottom of a Glock mag. That said, I can't remember having an issue with Glock mags. The Colt mags should last longer, no plastic mag catch a lot to wear out, but Glock mags last a long time and aren't expensive.
  6. At today's availability and prices, I'm more concerned with recovering the primer than the tube...
  7. I find that the electronic scales prefer to be on line power vs. batteries. I also find they like to be periodically recalibrated, or whatever the process is called where you hold the power button until you see "CAL F", then place the weight on the scale... I have an old Dillon and a newer one, both with different calibration procedures, but both are more than accurate enough for my purposes, and both are also reliable. Never had a reason to find an alternate model, but nice to know there are other reliable scales out there. I also have a cheap Amazon postal scale for up to five lbs, and another cheap Amazon scale for up to 50 lbs. They too seem reliable.
  8. The latest Safariland, 015 I think, is a true left handed holster, and works very nicely. Not cheap though. And apparently not available anywhere. https://benstoegerproshop.com/safariland-015-aluminum-race-holster-for-2011-pattern/
  9. This thread just got interesting. And while the gun in question isn't something I'd buy, I can honestly say I've spent more time and money doing something for the same reason (someone said I couldn't do it), so nice work.
  10. Mine came with the super wide paddles, the ones on your gun weren't available back then, which is why I had to grind down a $150.00 set of safeties... I do like those ones on your gun, might have to plunk down another $150.00.
  11. CZ Custom site says they can get them. If only they could erase the rollmark on the slide.
  12. Only ones I know of new are RIA or Dan Wesson, and JFC!! that hideous slide signature makes me balk at spending almost $2k on a Dan Wesson.
  13. I have a nice Les Baer .45 and a home made .40 S&W gun I built on a Kimber frame. I set both guns up as equal as I could, and the .45 is probably the better gun based on the fact that it was built by a company that builds guns while the .40 gun was built by a guy in his garage (me) as an exercise to see if he could make it, make it it work, and make it look nice, but for whatever reason I shoot the .40 gun much better. No idea why, I just get better hits and better times with it .40 S&W brass is much easier to find laying on the ground, and bullets are a smidge less expensive, so there's also that.
  14. That's why I got rid of my primer tube filler, couldn't rely on it giving me 100 properly placed primers in a tube. I have 29 small primer tubes, I fill them then load until empty, and refill them. With the price of primers, and as hard as they can be to find, I don't want to waste them.
  15. I mount mine on a piece of 4" angle then clamp it in the vise when using. Way more stable and easier to stow away when not in use
  16. I've used Glock mags and ETS mags in an AR9 and a Ruger PCC, both seem to work fine and drop free. I also have a Colt mag gun that works equally as well. You can get longer extensions for the Glock mags than the Colt mags, but it's rare you'll need more than 42 rounds in our game, so kind of a non-issue. If I had a preference, it'd be the Glock guns cause if I got rid of the Colt mag gun, I wouldn't need to keep a bunch of the mags around
  17. The Canik Rival comes from the factory with an abbreviated magwell, which must be removed prior to playing in CO & Production.
  18. Put the parts in and try it, I can't imagine S&W completely redesigning the gun, it wouldn't make economic sense on a gun with a $899.00 MSRP.
  19. In my experience, the Beretta can have a shorter reset, more crisp break (if that matters to you), and better reach for shorter reach hands. The CZ will have a more rolling type break (which can feel lighter than it is), a slightly longer reset, and a slightly longer reach for the DA shot. Both are nice triggers after upgrading, the difference between the two triggers (after dropping about $200.00 into whichever gun) won't overcome the ergonomics if whichever gun points best for you.
  20. To answer your original question, I have a Ruger PCC, with the Tandemkross Upriser (not the hooked one, the straight one), which corrects the mag catch location issue that Ruger chose not to address when they built the gun (WTF Ruger?), and it's a decent gun. As accurate and reliable as anything else, good trigger, if there's a flaw, it's the weight. It's kind of a pig, even with the Taccom carbon fiber handguard. Also have a Kel Tec, with all of the aftermarket parts, including the Red Lion Precision handguard. For that thing, the only upgrades that are absolutely necessary are the handguard and the stainless steel feedramp. Who puts a plastic feed ramp in a gun? Talk about stupid. That said, it's reliable and accurate enough for our game. It's also smaller and lighter than any AR9 I've shot, which is cool. Downsides are the charging handle location (fatal flaw, hard to adapt to this when clearing a jam) and lack of aftermarket performance parts. Of the two (I don't own a JRC), I'd use the Ruger in gun games just cause with the Tandemkross stock it's more ergonomic. The Kel Tec is fun, but that charging handle is horrible. I also have two AR PCCs, with side charging uppers which cost about the same as my upgraded Ruger (each AR cost the same as the Ruger), so there's that to consider. I'm waiting for someone to build a quality PCC with the Glock magazine in the grip, the ergos of an AR, and a non-reciprocating side charging handle. and using as many standard AR9 parts as possible. Pipe dream, I know, but are you listening Glock?
  21. None work as well as the cover that comes with the Leupold Delta Point Pro. I've bought covers and lost all of them. Finally gave up, if I care that much about the cover, I'll buy the DPP.
