I am thinking of purchasing a .22 pistol and installing a red dot scope on it to practice.I shoot strictly open and I've gotten different feedback.Is this a good method to practice indexing and maybe draws.I understand that it's not the same thing as my regular .38 super, but I would only practice certain things that would apply.Can anyone give me some good feedback on this topic before I go out and buy a .22 and a red dot scope?

I'm using 8.5gr of 3n-37 with a 115gr montana gold. I chronied this load at 50 degree weather, and it's at 161 power factor.What would be the ideal load to make power factor with this combination? Will the weather actually slow down a bullet?
