  1. Thank you guys. It seems like the egw mag catch is pushing the magazine higher therefore hitting the ejector.
  2. it seats easier when loaded. I load the magazine full (9 rnds). It seems like it's hitting the ejector. Thanks
  3. The tab on the front base pad is not touching the frame. I ordered a wilson combat mag release and see if that'll work. Thanks a lot.
  4. It works with a regular 1911 mags. Even the mags for para 1911 works. It could be a Corey and egw higher nag catch is a bad combo.
  5. I have bought two Corey Tripp mags to try out. For some reason it does not seat properly. I'm using tech well sp system and using egw higher mag catch. The magazine is hard to seat and hard to release. I have to push the mag button so hard for it to release. Anybody have experience this problem? Thanks.
  6. Thanks for all the replies. The gun is working now. However, the problem was the fitting if the barrel. SV barrel as compared to schuemann has a different cut from the side of the rib all the way to the lugs. It seems that with SV you need to take more material for it not to rub or hit. If you push down the muzzle it does move but when racked while in that position that's when we felt the barrel stopping the slide from moving. Thanks everyone!
  7. Has anyone stippled a Versamax grip and fore end? If someone can post a picture of their work I'll surely appreciate it. Thanks!
  8. The barrel link has been changed 3 times to 1, 2, and 3. To shadow it does push back. Thanks
  9. My pf is at 170"ish. I reload. My other open is hybrid with 3 port 4 rib and azone comp and it works. I'll try what shadow is asking. Eric, I'll see carlo this weekend prolly ask him and show the gun to him. Thanks
  10. It's not moving the slide backward when firing.
  11. 8lbs spring, no mag rubbing since I fired it with just a bullet in the chamber, no mag and did not extracted it and did not even move the slide. Maybe just a little movement. I don't know how to find out about the timing on the gun? Any test or anything I should look at? Thanks!
  12. I had my gunsmith build me an open pistol using SV hybrid barrel with 6 ribbed and 3 port and using an a-zone comp. When being racked the slide and frame slides smoothly. However, whenever I shoot it the slide doesn't seem to batter all the way back to cock hammer and to eject and put the next round to chamber. My gunsmith kept fiddling with it but with no luck. Anyone can think of or may know what's causing all these? Thanks for the help in advance. It's a 38sc and using a major load.
  13. What is the length of casefeed feed tube for 1050? Reason I'm asking is I need a casefeed feed tube in standard size with a length of at least 24 inches or longer. I'm going to use it on my case pro and use the same casefeed attached to my 650. Thanks!
  14. Rich did this for me 3 yrs ago on my limited gun.
  15. Has anyone used or tried this sight? Any comments or reviews will surely be appreciated. Thanks.
  16. Looks like I'm going with snake skin serration and snake belly top. Thanks guys.
  17. I'm in the process of building a 1911 for single stack division. I'm trying to decide on slide serrations. I'm trying to choose between classic slanted or snake skin. I'm also planning on getting the top of slide snake bellied. However, it's already been tri topped and doing so will probably make the slide lighter and snappier. Any inputs will be appreciated. Thanks.
  18. No. I open it while I'm walking towards the shooting area before the make ready prompt. I use CMore with clock switch.
  19. You're right about that. Get it right the first time. Thanks.
  20. Thanks for all the replies. Looks like I'm going with kkm this time. Thanks for y'all's input. Greatly appreciated.
  21. I'm quite torn between schuemann bushing or kkm bushing barrel in .40. Need ur opinions and suggestions. Thanks.
  22. Thanks for all your input guys. Looks like I'm building one.
  23. Are there any parts that may need to be changed when going with the Trojan route? I've read on some post that it will still need some tweaking and gunsmith work. Trojan is priced at close to 1100 and you can get all the parts for a build close to the price. I guess the thing that's holding me back is the price of having the gunsmith build it.
