Just because someone can buy an STI for less, doesn't necessarily mean you should though.

I would personally run the muzzle support as well. The rounded trigger guard allows some play in terms of y axis angle. No risk of it falling, but disliked the grip angle being different on draw. Muzzle support makes it super solid.

I used the normal metal frame 1911 insert with my race master. The front trigger guard is pretty spot on traditional 1911.

Yep, they just have the aggressive bogie texture. They can also do the lightening cuts if worried about weight for CO.

I use LOK OEM aka wood profile bogies. Special order, but gives a place for support hand.

Yep! I've been running their disco in two Stock III's for a few months. Now gonna test out the hammer.

Doing a little experimenting.

First batch of SRO's died early on due to defects. They seem to be the longest lasting along with the RMR Type 2.

Less prone to break, better dot options, nice round window, most common optic mounting footprint. Someone might prefer the DPP which is a valid option. Removing the optic once a year to clean and rezero is my current plan. I generally can make it without a detail strip of the extractor in that 10k-12k range. I do use a small pin sized scraper to get build up off it and surrounding area after 2-3k.

I believe Scott at Impact Machine will be offering these for Tanfoglio. I'm the test subject and will be putting more rounds through it, but so far no issues. Just send him a message or call. I'm not sure if a Stock II needs lightening cuts to make weight.

SRO still going strong.

Finally ran it in a match yesterday. Only managed to record a few stages.

I think that will be mostly related to the disconnector. The Cajun one I'm using isn't as short as the bolo, but I don't ride the reset in my shooting.

Ok, so Titan vs unica vs Stock Titan/Stock, both have similar DA feel. The trigger pressure is very consistent until the full hammer arc, then there is a little of the tanfoglio stacking. Unica, the stacking is weird. It feels like it moved all the stacking to the first few millimeters of trigger movement. The half cock position is really high. Once you get passed the initial stacking the DA becomes extremely light. It reminds me of a compound bow cam, heavy up front, then it cams over and goes light. The single actions are very similar in terms of feel. If I had a trigger weight gauge I could measure them.

Ok, so the firing pin did need to be cut, also the depth of the hole for the spring deepened, since it was too shallow after removing material. Causing the spring to bind. I'm traveling, but will post some pictures ASAP.

I have the Unica hammer and unica sear in my backup gun. Paired with the medium xtreme spring, medium xtreme firing pin spring and extreme firing pin block. It felt a little smoother in DA than the stock hammer. The single is slightly lighter, but the difference seems minor. I'm going to try fitting the Cajun Gun Works disconnector with the unica hammer. Hopefully that yields a better result.

I didn't notice anything myself, but if I look for it after you pointed it out I can see it. Doesn't bother me enough to clean-up.

Wide, but it fits. Yes you need to remove the optic if you want to remove the extractor pin.

Impact Machine aka Cajun Gun Works was wiling to give the RMR/SRO footprint a shot for me. Can't wait to go run this. My first slide was a Vortex Venom, so this has a much larger window.
