Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't it say for production that unless a modification is expressly allowed it is forbidden?
  2. +1 for the Wranglers, but I wear the non-ripstop ones. They have what they call a "tech-pocket" on the left thigh cargo pocket that is perfect for either a pistol or AR mag. The older ones used to have the pocket on both thighs instead of just the left one. Around here they run about $20. They are roomy enough for me to wear both my knee braces and knee pads under them and still have full movement.
  3. I have worn gloves on several occasions, and have found that a pair of Easton batting gloves with their vibration reduction system work the best for me. Great grip for all firearms, tight enough to manipulate all controls/reloads and even help keep my hands warm on cold days.
  4. I use a pair of Caldwell low profile electronic muffs. They work pretty good, run on 2AA batteries and run less than $40 in most places. The current ones even come with a jack to plug your mp3 player as well.
  5. Just a question for the mods. Why is this not pinned? Just curious.
  6. I'm a fan of Justified on FX, Arrow on CW, and of course The Walking Dead on AMC. I have a friend who lives near Atlanta and knows people who are on The Walking Dead.
  7. I prefer Wrangler cargo pants. They have what they call a tech pocket on the left cargo pocket that is perfect for either a pistol or AR mag. And since it is behind the point of the hip you can use it to hold your mag at the end of the stage if you shoot production or single stack.
  8. There is a reason that I wear muffs. It is because there is a nerve that runs along your skull just behind the ear that can be damaged by loud noise and cause nerve deafness. Wearing muffs covers this nerve area and helps prevent this. Plugs don't protect you from the nerve damage which is one reason my several shooters, even though they wear plugs still have some kind of hearing loss. Just my .02
  9. Contact Blade-Tech and let them know what you have and they can make any of their line to fit it.
  10. I requested a new RO at a local match one time because while he was running the timer for me during a stage he was so close to my 6 that when I took a half step back I stepped on him. And he also didn't know the range commands. Just went to the guy in charge and said "I don't want him to run me on any more stages. He doesn't know what he's doing." That was the end of it.
  11. I have a 35 set up for limited/L10, but no pics atm. Here is my setup. Pretty much bone stock with some "minor" upgrades. Dawson f/o front sight with adjustable target rear. Competition extended mag release. Dawson Ice magwell and Dawson mag extensions. The only internal work I have had done on it is I added a NY1 trigger spring with the (-)connector which give me a faster/firmer reset and the trigger pull of around 5-6#. Will try to post pics asap.
  12. +1 on the Ballistic M-Frames. The only problem that I have had is trying to find replacement lens for them. Every place I have tried is always back ordered. But I have seen a solution from an active duty guy who had a pair and that was to take the center anchor pin off the frame and just use the standard M-Frame lens. And for the record I have been wearing Oakley sunglasses in one form or another for more than 25 years, so I guess you could say I'm a little biased for them.
  13. If you are ordering directly from Blade-Tech just tell them what size front site you have and the will make one for you. I had to do that for both my G22 and G35. It just takes a little more time because they don't keep them "in stock" but have the molds for the higher than stock sites. Hope this helps.
  14. Does anyone know if/when the barrels will be available for purchase? I already have a 930 and would like to have that barrel instead of the 18.5" barrel that I already have. Thanks
  15. Reminds me of something I read from the Viet Nam era about the beer they would give on R&R. 2 Beers per person 24 Men on R&R 47 Cases of Beer required. Gotta love GRUNT math too.
