  1. I interesting views, I was at the table when this happened. When he stopped and holstered, I asked him if he had done that before. He said no and was having trouble with his dot and wanted to see how it appeared on a target. He then asked if it was ok to do that. I told him I did not know. It appeared by his gear to be an experienced shooter. I asked around but nobody knew for sure. Interesting that the rule is only against it in a level ll or lll match. I mean safety is safety. Learn something every day.
  2. Shooter was at the safety table practicing his draw before the match had started, Table was in a pit where there was a stage setup. The table was pointed at the side berm up range from where the stage was. He then turned downrange and seemed to be drawing at a stage target while adjusting his dot brightness. He did this a number of times. There was no one looking over the stage at the time so he was not pointing his gun at anyone. Any rule against doing this?
  3. Anyone know if a Holosun EPS Carry will mount to a Glock 17 Gen. 3? If not what Holosun will fit.
  4. Glock weapon light, I want to add weight to my glock to shoot production. Cheap and heavy are my requirements. Any recommendations?
  5. My rifle has the normal Blitz set up with a MBX super light 10-1/2" barrel, 125 gr. 130 pf loads. Very soft, 2" double taps at 20 yds or better on a good day. I installed the Maxim RDB in my rifle length stock. I put in a 2-5/8 spacer to make the RDB fit flush with the back of the bolt when closing the gun. Perfect. I am old and weak with shoulder problems. Really! I had to charge the gun using both of my hands holding the gun against my stomach. Forgot, my gun has a side charging upper. Fired the gun. Wow, very nice! Very light recoil, great double taps. Better than my normal set up. I took the buffer out, oiled it to see if it would charge easier, nope. Now it sets on my bench hoping I can come up with an idea to make it charge easier. I live in a 10 rd state so I have to be able to make quick reloads so easy charging is a must.

  7. Is shoptactical.s#!t.com legit? Anyone order anything from them?
  8. I called to see if it could be used in a rifle length stock if I used the correct spacer. First guy I talked to did not know there was a stock longer than a carbine one. Second guy seemed to be confused until I told him about using a 2-5/8 spacer. Going to save my money until I have information from shooters that have tried them.
  9. You can buy three of the Taccon carbon fiber handguards for $100 dollars each. Very strong, very light, very small in diameter. One screw holds them on. I drilled one extra hole to really keep it in place. Very easy to do. It also comes with a nice aluminum barrel nut. Sorry but to me to spend $300 plus for a handguard is serious overkill.
  10. You might want to check your receiver buffer tube, To shear the bolts off it usually means the key is hitting the back of the receiver. That will crack it at some point. There will be a mark on the upper part of the receiver.
  11. Thanks everyone, Had to try one so I bought a cheep one. Mounted it and now I see why most USPSA shooters don't use them. Very bright on the overcast day I tried it. Today is very sunny and the laser washed out most of the time. But I can see its use on very close, hard lean targets. I'll find out this Sunday in our local match.
  12. Yes, They seem to have good reviews.
  13. Good advice thanks, I have a cheap one coming today. I plan on taping it on just to see what it does for me. What brand is the most used?
  14. Hey Dan, Boy do I miss you and 3gun, and Beer!
  15. No problem leaning for you cause you are a youngster but wait until you cannot lean anymore. You will need something to make certain shots.
  16. Thanks, I was hoping to have a laser that I can turn on and off with a switch so I could leave it on during the stage and then turn it off.
