  1. How much did they charge to rebuild your loader? I have a 550 that needs to be refurbished.
  2. Touching bases with other Ro's is a good thing at a big match, No much help at local matches where the RO is pretty much by themselves. The rest of your comments, you are assuming and you know what the means, you are the first part of the word assuming. I have repeatedly said that I know an RO sees more than just the gun
  3. Took my RO class in 1994. Gave it up five years ago when I could no longer keep up with shooters. I have ROed one pistol Nationals, many many Area 7 events, many, many, many 3g events. ROed the FN 3gun matches $300,000 prize table. CROed it twice. Larry Houke ran it. You did not show up at this match to RO or CRO. you were invited. Finished my career ROing local and local section matches. One would assume I know a thing or to about ROing.
  4. I was not the shooter, When the RO called the ftsa, the shooter asked how do you know if i shot at the target. The RO paused and said that that target was missed by other shooters and he assumed it was a ftsa. Shooter got two misses. No one knows if he shot at it or not. I tried to find out when a RO has to call this penalty. Nothing in the rules so I started the tread. I actually have had this happen to me and if it was not called at the ULASC, I always won the battle, two misses.
  5. Sorry but the RO's main job is to watch the gun because that is where the most safety infractions come from. It is the score keepers job to watch for fault line penalty's along with 180 violations etc. Sometimes the RO is out of position to see a 180. Yes that happens.
  6. Absolutely agree! I f you did not call it at the line, you did not see it. Your right, nothing addresses when to call it and that is why I started the thread.
  7. Yes but did you actually see that they did not shoot at it, I'm not talking about a normal simple stage where it is very easy to see what is being shot at, I'm talking about the stages I described in my opening example. You did not call it at the line because you did not see it. You are assuming it.
  8. Agree, But like you say, they are obvious things. When a shooter is moving fast through a complicated stage, It is almost impossible to determine exactly what they are shooting at.
  9. When should a FTSA penalty be called, Example. A very complicated stage. One of those where the same targets can be engaged from different positions. The RO starts to score targets. They come to a target that has not been shot. They call a FTSA. The RO has no idea what targets have been shot at if the RO was doing their job and only watching the shooters gun. I think the FTSA needs to be called after the ULASC or not at all. I don't think timer shots or video are the answer. I seem to remember it is against the rules. Looked hard but I could find anything that addressed this in the rule book.
  10. Forgot to add, They don't cost $500 and you don't have to spend another $500 for when they break down and have to be sent in for repair. And the dot is as bright and brighter than most other dots. I admit they don't look as cool as the $500 ones and they weigh "oh my God" a full two oz. more. Okay, mini rant over.
  11. Amazon, Three packs. My C-more lasts a month of shooting two matches each weekend. I turn it off after every stage. I have five of them. Some on rifles, some on pistols. Never had to send one in for repair over a period of fifteen years or more. I really like that you can change the dot size from 1 moa up to 16 moa.
  12. How hard was it to rack? I tried one and it was way to hard for me. I liked the way it felt but living in a 10 rd state I could not rack it as easy as I need it to be. I ask because I know you are older as I am. Maybe they have found a way to make charging the gun easier, I hope.
  13. WOW, It just keeps piling up!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. You are correct, After dialing this # over a period of days, it now goes to Bushnell. I waited 25 minutes for an "agent" to come on line. I then clicked the # one for a call back. Two days, no call back. Not happy. It's a Advance Reflex dot sight. After sighting in and not using it for awhile the dot will not come on Tried a new battery and cleaned the diode. Nothing?
  15. Thanks but that is the contact # that goes to a medical alert commercial and continues to repeat itself?
  16. The contact # for warranty returns goes directly to a medical alert message. I emailed them and they said to go to this number? Anyone know a different way to contact them? Thanks
  17. Titanium is very light compared to steel. Problem is that it is very soft and will wear out way before steel does. Not worth it in my opinion.
  18. I interesting views, I was at the table when this happened. When he stopped and holstered, I asked him if he had done that before. He said no and was having trouble with his dot and wanted to see how it appeared on a target. He then asked if it was ok to do that. I told him I did not know. It appeared by his gear to be an experienced shooter. I asked around but nobody knew for sure. Interesting that the rule is only against it in a level ll or lll match. I mean safety is safety. Learn something every day.
  19. Shooter was at the safety table practicing his draw before the match had started, Table was in a pit where there was a stage setup. The table was pointed at the side berm up range from where the stage was. He then turned downrange and seemed to be drawing at a stage target while adjusting his dot brightness. He did this a number of times. There was no one looking over the stage at the time so he was not pointing his gun at anyone. Any rule against doing this?
