  1. Can anybody give me the website that Brian Harrington is on the blog with other PCC shooters, The host is a know women shooter. Thanks
  2. I have my gun in a cart, Prior to being called to shoot it is pointed at the berm 2 yds away, flagged but not in a case. When called to shoot, I pick the gun up and walk to the start position with the gun pointed up. Why should there be a problem if the gun is cased and flagged?
  3. Thanks for the information, Sounds like a nice set up.
  4. Is it harder to charge than a normal blow back rifle?
  5. Great information on the Mean's upper, A few questions if you don't mind. Are you using the Mean's with a dedicated 9 lower with the ejector removed? Do you know if the handguard can be changed out with a normal aluminum one? Do you think a normal AR barrel nut can be used to replace the handguard? What trigger are you using in the lower? How much do the lifters cost? Thanks
  6. Only if you have $4,000 laying around, Then another $1,000 or more to spend on a sight, trigger, forearm etc:
  7. No, If you shoot the gun until it is empty, the bolt catch will hold the bolt open. When you insert a new mag, empty or loaded with bullets, the bolt will not close until you push the bolt release. If the gun is unloaded, bolt forward, You can pull the bolt back all the way and then push the bolt catch in on the bottom to keep the bolt back. Are you not familiar with the way a AR works?
  8. Sorry, meant to say the top part of the bolt release.
  9. Push on the bottom part of your bolt release on the left side of your rifle. Sounds like your rifle is locked back on a empty mag like it's supposed to.
  10. Odd, I can pull both jacketed and coated bullets with ease on my Hornady. Very similar to the RCBS. I have used many brands of bullets, no problem. My Hornady will not pull truncated bullets. The hammer type are ok for a few bullets but to do a lot is a real pain. Very messy, very loud and slow in my opinion. Takes me a average of 7 seconds to pull and separate powder, case and bullet with the Hornady. Try to fuss with the collet adjustment. I had to with mine to get it to work correctly.
  11. Thanks, I had a hammer spring break after 5,000 rds or so. They replaced it no questions asked. The reset is strong. I'm going to see how long this one lasts.
  12. ZZ, I am pushing 83 so I hear you! I can shoot as fast as the youngsters but my movement puts me 5 to ten seconds behind these running and not shooting stages. I still love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Garmin Xero ci pro. Hard to find a bad review on it. It would keep me from shooting another one.
  14. It should not matter if it is a local or National match. It is a safety issue!!! Remember that if the gun blows up, more than likely you might be hurt along with the shooter. Have you ever been around a blow up gun? I have and it is serious!!!
  15. Try using it in a 10 rd state where doing two to three reloads per stage, I tried one. I liked everything about it except the very hard to charge problem.
  16. Ok I give up, As usual this thread has gotten away from my opening question. Is there a rule as to when a FTSA penalty should be called. Very mixed opinions, but nothing in the rules about it. The thread did bring up a lot of opinions oh weather or not they should be called at all. The consensus seems to be if you did not see it, don't call it. Simple? dmshozer out. Are you kidding me, The RO has to be able to provide proof for everything they call! How can you make a statement that B shooters are not as honest as any other shooter?
  17. Many matches big and small have been decided on 10 points or less. I don't have any idea what you mean by the not admitting mistakes comment?
  18. This is what I have done for years, On a memory stage after the ULASC, I ask the RO if I missed any targets. If they cannot tell me, I will not accept a FTSA, only the misses.
