Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I started from a financial aspect. I wanted to shoot more for the same money. In that parameter I succeeded! 458 SOCOM factory averages $3.50 a round, hand loaded $.80-1.50 a round
  2. I've be using the wet method for almost a year. The lack of dust sold me on it. I've also stopped using dawn soap, and have swapped over to car wash n wax. Just as clean, but the brass is easier to size. It doesn't feel as grabby on the dies as it did with dawn.
  3. I'm running a Tromix. I ended up using imr4198 39.5gr. Behind a 300gr Nosler MZBT. I didn't care for how warm my barrel got with lil'gun. I've been meaning to try H110. The 4198 loads just work well so I haven't seen the need to mess with other powders.
  4. Serenity Ice Pirates - its so bad its good Time Bandits Pitch Black Alien
  5. A variation i've seen a few times thats a bit less expensive than hardwood butcherblock, was a 2x4 cut in to 2-3" lengths then assembled like a butcherblock for a tabletop as well as set up as shop flooring the end grain hid all forms of Oops' ans was very forgiving if anything with an edge hit it.
