  1. I would be keen to try this out as I only use one load for IPSC. but I am concerned about what more can go wrong with the system due to all the (moving) parts, but in addition I expect it to land here with shipping and duties for another 50% so experimenting becomes expensive. and then of course it becomes a really expensive paper weight if I dont use it. If you only had to use one load would it have been a good contender for your firearm?
  2. I run it in my GMR15. Love the way it works. I shot the Scheel Gen 1, Kynshot and SCS back to back in the same firearm. I preferred the Scheel but the Kynshot was an extremely close second for me, YMMV. My load is about 137pf using VVN320 with a 124gr coated bullet. I probably have about 10k through it with the scheel and broke a bearing on it. This perhaps one of the only reasons I will change to another system, but really dont want to splash on another system, especially considering out exchange rate on this side of the pond. Therefore I am considering it a consumable and will change it out periodically.
  3. Any reason why you suggest not using 147 gr with N320? I use polymer coated with about 3gr and get about 135pf in mt GMR15. I would be interested to understand your comment. Thank you. I did try a slower powder (maybe too slow, had Lovex 37.01 for my open gun) but still prefered the N320.
  4. I agree with @ysrracer, dont over think it. The instructions are pretty clear given your choice of bullet and power factor. I am shooting 124gr polymer coated bullets using VV N320. My power factor is about 136 and I use 2 heavy and 1 light springs. The gun shoots flawlessly and I have not encountered any issues. Good luck with your setup.
  5. I have about 500 rounds of ammo through my JP with scheel system. Different powders and bullets. There's probably a ton of different stuff you could experiment with, bullet weight, charge, buffer, scheel internal springs. My experience so far is the 124gr loaded with N320 at about 135ish factor has the least mount of dot movement. i am able to hit 2 As at a 20m target in sub .20 sec consistently. Doesn't prove much but under certain conditions it can provide useful information for R&D. I have done the same with 147, 115, 135 all with N320, did not surpass the 124gr with the current setup (for now) Tried more springs in the buffer but all came down to the original spec. To be honest there is probably some work I could do to further exhaust possibilities and research for the internal scheel springs in the system, to see how those perform but I think I am rather happy with the current setup. Its time to shoot more.
  6. I have a saiga 12 340, happy to take pics and send dimensions. Shoot me an email with the details you need. mozee@me.com PS - Measurements will be in metric, hope you dont mind to crunch it for your use.
  7. Thanks for the update. Mine is on its way from Chuck. Keen to get it going. Will hopefully be able to post some info with my findings in a month or so.
  8. Thanks for the info and the offer, but I bit the bullet on a Scheel system. Cant wait to try it out.
  9. Do you have any other feedback on the air buffer? Toying with the idea of the air buffer or the Scheel system. Any advice?
  10. Thanks for the feedback everyone. Garmil, I've looked at the specs but perhaps i read them incorrectly. Do you know how wider the FOV is compared to the Razor?
  11. So I've been playing around in 3gun for some time now and just purchased a new rifle. I'm looking at variable power optics which, here in South Africa is scarce and pricey. I've shortlisted 2, the Vortex Razor JM1 or the Swarovski Z8i BRT. The price tag on the Swarovski is almost 1000USD more here, so I would like to know if it's worth it? Yes it has 8x magnification but I'm primarily using it for IPSC (max 300m) and 3gun, so I don't think that Max power is a train smash. Any feedback with be appreciated. 12. Welcome Tayls, good to see you here. I'm from JHB, ZA. just had the privilege to shoot with David Pruitt at our nationals this past weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. I was window shopping at Cmore's website and found the option to purchase dot modules for the aluminum bodies of their scopes. I have 2 of the aluminum scopes which work great l, but I also have a few modules laying around for the polymer scopes and the intention was to keep them for spares. Is there any reason not to use what I have in the aluminum bodied ones? Here's the link - http://cmore.com/store/index.php?app=ecom&ns=prodshow&ref=AMOA&sid=37lu5r6v5kh07fb482t87it6dsfjf479 I've already emailed Cmore but thought you guys would have some input on it. 15. I haven't considered this option as yet. I will look into it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Advice as in if it can be done, and things to look out for. Thanks for the input you've provided. The gunsmith that will work on it is pretty knowledgeable and I have confidence in his ability. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I am unable to find a 0.936" gas block and most if not all of the dealers in South Africa have some from of a 0.750" gas block. Other than selling the bull barrel for an alternative, can someone shed advice with regards to turning the barrel down, up until the gas ports to accommodate the run of the mill gas blocks that I can find here? 18. I've been thinking about trying these. My concern is getting a kink in the aluminium when stepping on them after a reload is done. Is this a concern? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks will do my best to get them working with out spacers etc. Worst case i will have to get spacers Spacers and springs with followers, you need both of them. IIRC, the STI has 2 thinnish ribs and the SVI/SPS run 1 broad rib. I have not used STI mags but what Glk21C says makes perfect sense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Don't know of hand, but I went as long as possible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Yes super mags will work, depending on OAL. you will have to play around with that once you get your gun. I have SPS mags that I use in both, my super and 9 major guns without any change. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I'm pretty sure yours will be super mags. 9mm Major springs and spacers are few and far between here in ZA. I suppose the 2 dealers may be able to bring those in for you albeit a bit of a wait. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks for the feedback everyone. Will do so.
  24. A buddy bought a few more of these than he actually needs and I might take a few from him. Has anyone used these that can comment on them? http://imgww.com/mka-001.aspx
