Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Make sure the dies are set correctly so that the ram goes to the same point every time, I think there is a post by Dillon on this somewhere.
  2. I have a shield with about 300 of my reloaded ammo and no bulging of cases but they ard not loaded to +p .
  3. Sigwally on the Sig forum ( he is in Clearwater) did a real nice job on my M&P I dont know if he can do what you want but worth contacting him to see. Email me and I can give you his number.
  4. Having done this myself, make sure the handle is not hitting anything when you push to seat the primers

    556 primers

not sure if we're talking about thesame thing - i've seen CCI primers packaged in a plain white carton marked as military spec for (I believe) the M16. my understanding is that they had a harder cup specifically to prevent against slam fires in ar rifles (or any rifle with a floating pin for that matter). Can't recall if they were marketed as 5.56 primers or the packaging referenced the M16 actually. My $.02... Jared That sounds like what they where in a plain white box.
  6. At a gun show tody they had CCI 5.56 primers, about $5.00 per 1000 cheper then normal CCI small Rifle. Has anyone used these and does anyone know what the difference is. The gus sailing them said there was no shortage of these.
  7. Does anyone leave the powder in the measure when not in use, or do you always put it back in its contanier.
  8. what he said! plus trust your 'smith's opinion. VV list 6.0 max for 124gn per there web site
  9. Thanks guys. I made a wrench to tighten them with of course I have to remove the powder mesure to use it. It sounds like I jusr need to crank on it some more. The wrench I made was to take a 1" scoket cut a 1/4" piece off it, then weld a steel rod to that I had made on for my loadmaster that worked bur with there O rings you dont have to get them to tight.
  10. Hi I am new to the Dillon loaders and my powder die keeps coming loose, Do you have to tighten it real tight or would useing a second nut to lock work.
  11. My EAA match will not feed any flat noiesed bullets and does not realy like any lead bullets, I was told by a gunsmith that the feed ramp is to steep and the lead binds up on the ramp. I only use FMJs in mine.
  12. On another post I was hveing trouble with my 9.mm not going into my Wilson gauge. I thought it was the bulge in the case head, Turns out it I was not crimping the bell out of the bullet end. I kept turning the seat die down until the rounds now fit, It also almost got rid of the coke bottle look.
  13. #1 Is ther suposed to be a spring on the end of the powder bar ? or was that eliminated by the failsafe return. #2 Is it safe to keep primer tubes filled ahead of time as in do you fill all you have and if you dont load that maney just stor them in the tubes? So far I love this press after coming from a loadmaster, thanks for all the help
  14. I should have said they fit the chamber of my Sig ok but not the wilson gauge
  15. I just got a new 550B (I am not new to reloadingthough) and my 9mm rounds have a slight bulge in the rear of the case. I am using the Dillon dies the resizer is set all the way down to the shell plate. Also the primer pin allways feeds a primer any time the ram is moved, is that OK? I am use to the Lee that dons't feed unless there is a case there. So far I love the fell of the 550 though.
