Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Im setting up my Production belt now, I only plan on shooting production class at the moment. Any pics for set ups ? Degree of cant ?
  2. Great post. Perhaps all that time I seem to spend on the bottom of the warp drive chart has been useful ! I have seen the oscillations and they seem to come back and forth less deeply now. This year I joined USPSA and after sending most of my time being a "training junky" who liked to shoot an occasional local match I wanted to really dig in deep this year and see what i could do, and Ive had some great matches, but some awful ones too. I wasnt able to make a match a month like I originally intended , but Ive learned a lot and Im going to move ahead. Still waiting for my classification , and to be honest i thought for sure I just had to come in A with where I had normally placed overall (usually I finish high with the A class, always beat by M class overall but not always on all stages) but my scores have not been what i expected and my classifier scores have been just rotten.
  3. You shot really well today, first match or not. I shot a 28 in 4.15 and then a reshoot for 26 in 3.75 , just could not get myself to stop on that damn paper and hit 2 A's. Production class
  4. Just shot my first 3-gun at Pardoe in Grove city. Wondering what other matches there are near here. Just saying "PA" is too broad as here in Eastern PA we are closer to OH than we are to the middle of this giant state. Northern WV isnt far either. Thanks !
  5. So I dont have to go buy a whole new gun to shoot SSP, and I could take advantage of the G34 slide. Would this be legal ? On a RTF2 frame.... will that matter? I mean on a regular G17 frame they are the same and so who would care to match up your serial numbers..... but on a RTF2 ...................... And my other G17 has a grip job so that would put me in ESP....
  6. Im looking to bring Bennie Cooley in for a Carbine class this year to the Pittsburgh area. I'll be sure to bring the info over or get it out when I have the date, description, and cost all nailed down.
  7. Any news on a US release date yet ?
  8. I didnt know that. I'll have to look into them. I know they have had a bunch of issues with the 4th gen G19's especially, so I wasnt even considering them. 2nd Gen G17L ?
  9. My TM 1911 runs like a top, and accurate too. I'll look into it. Yeah, Ive used Sim's guns before (and am enrolled in a SouthNarc ECQC course coming up in April/May as well) and they rock, but its just not doable for a bunch of regular guys just looking to practice together.

    What is it?

"talking about Zen is like dancing about architecture" I know it when I remember it, but then Im not knowing it at all
  11. I get together with some guys to practice Force On Force and defensive pistol skills and we use AS guns in some sessions (along with shooting sessions, blue guns, knife drones, ect). A couple of the guys have bought GLOCK clones and havent had any luck with them running reliably enough to use. In addition which models have a more realistic trigger press? It would be great if there was a model that was both reliable and had a realistic trigger. Im not concerned about cosmetics or holster fit.
  12. Im shooting a G17 right now that has had some frame work. 3rd gen with the finger grooves cut, undercut trigger guard, ect This will put me in ESP in IDPA. But a G34 wont. But I dont like the finger grooves. Did GLOCK make a 2nd gen G34 or another way to avoid the finger grooves and shoot SSP in IDPA and Production in USPSA with the same gun ?
  13. check out www.atomicdogholsters.com Brian is a good friend of mine and I own several of his holsters. Hell make it however you want in regards to cut, cant, and ride height, ect
  14. so, I still dont hear anything about what the difference between thses TAC30's and the XTR is ? and, as far as the dots on the TAC being set for yardage, is that with a 50/200 yard zero? I had seen someone post about zeroing for 100 and they didnt match up, I have to assume this is for a 50/200. Im really thinking about one of these, I'd like a trijicon accupoint but I wish it had other recticles available. I lust after the USO......mmmmm.........
