  1. Anyone test a railed hand guard that's actually lighter than the BCM KMR?

    Hoping to soon.

Purchased the Ranier Arms Force 12" Keymod as an alternative to the much more expensive KMR. Weight w barrel nut is 10.1 oz vs 7.7 for KMR, but cost is half.

A plus for the Force handguard are the built in rotation limited QD plug in points, if that matters to you. Does to me, so the weight difference now drops to around 2 oz, maybe less.

KMR has a lot of positive reviews of M4C.net but went with a less expensive alternative, close in weight. Will install in a couple of days then test it out.

  2. Thanks to everyone that responded! Sounds like there is no bad choice between the IP and Taccom. Cannot check them both out as no one in my circles has them AFAIK. Price is a small factor with the advantage going to Taccom.

    Again, thanks for the feedback.

  3. Looking at Taccom and Invictus and have a question to those who have used both: Is the spacing between the adjacent rows in a quad of shells, such as Invictus 12 a benefit over something like the Taccom quads, where the rims of 2 rows of shells are practically touching?

Without first hand experience, I am guessing that rims touching can lead to the two rows entangling as first row is shoved into the mag tube, dragging on the 2 shells still in the palm awaiting their turn to load.

On the other hand (no pun intented) maybe having the two rows super close to each other makes it easier to not lose grip and drop a shell or 2.

Any info would be appreciated as I am considering taking the plunge and want to buy once...

Looking at the design and application difference, realizing there are fans of both companies and some past drama relating who did what first...

    Thanks in advance,

Sorry that I came across as a smart ass, did not know you did not have the instructions.

Use the weakest ammo you have, so it will function reliably with all ammo.

I ended up on setting #4, from fully closed, many folks end up at setting 5.

You can also experiment with lighter buffers, but setting might have to be changed if the buffer is changed.

Main thing as everyone says, 100% lock back on empty is key, not so much ejection pattern.

  5. Did it not come with instructions on a card? Curious why you trust SLR to purchase their product, but not trust their instructions on adjusting it.

Mine came with instructions, which worked quite well. Try it, and if not satisfied, ask if there is a better way. Suspect not.

  6. Some specs:

    Seekins Dynamic Resistance

    Length 2.50" 1.75"

    Weight 4.00 oz 2.44 oz

Left out prices, as it all depends on vendor.

Ranier Arms has a good price on Seekins, and Carbon Arms or Dynamic Resistance are the only sources for the DR that I am aware of.

No doubt they are both good, main differences are size and weight. Not sure if these are important to 12Glocks.

  7. Has this ammo functioned well in the JM930 previously, or not?

Have you tried other ammo that has worked well in the past to determine if the problem persists?

Looked at your UT videos and it seems a round did not even make it from the mag tube out.

Have you looked at the 2 gas ports to make sure they are open?

Another option, in SS, so would be more visible until it jumps out.

I think either would work. Am thinking of ordering a set of 25 as I want a spare or 2, and selling the rest, say a dollar gets you 2, postage included in CONUS. Should I do it? Tito, envelope rates to PR same as CONUS?

Not sure if quality is same as Mossberg. OE seems to be spring steel, don't know about the Grainger version.

  9. Holy sh**!

I am right on the edge of the mag tube, so did not go anymore forward, but it seems like you did. No fear of weakening the mag tube?

Did not work on the sides, obviously. Do you find that removing material there makes a significant difference in terms of ease of loading? Looks cool, but is the juice worth the squeeze?

Last picture is what, a Stoeger 3K?

    Thanks for the encouragement.
