  1. Thanks Tommy. I agree 100%. Not trying to sell myself short. But it was best I could do interested allotted time I had to devote. Working on changing that now that I'm retired and have time (roflmao). Was just saying expensive high end guns are great and all but not gonna make you great if you don't do the work.

  2. I'm just a simple B Class USPSA shooter in single Stack. I have some high end guns and several project guns. The project Guns are so much fun because of my working on them. The prodigy is an entry level gun for me to shoot limited Optics. Single Stack will always be my passion though.

  3. I bought my Prodigy as an introductory way to shoot LO. Initially I planned on a magwell,  trigger (I prefer flat) and a tool less guiderod. ~$150.00. I then decided on new firing parts (hammer, sear, disco, sear spring)~$200.00 had a hammer strut (non-mim) in my parts box. Finally I added an xl firing pin $12.95, FP spring and 9# recoil springs (also had these in spares but are $7.95 if need to purchase. Still need MS housing and internals.

I bought one and discovered the sight notch is cut .013 too far to the right. It is also too high. The too high I could live with as it's a back up sight only but the few inches to the right is ridiculous. You can't compensate for that!

Not to mention, at the last IDPA match, when I handed my pistol to my friends to check out they asked why the red dot doesn't align with the sights.

I contacted Impact Machine and got no response. Crickets.

Just ordered the RMR plate from Springfield. They are back in stock. I swear, sometimes it seems like I spend a dollar to save a penny!

I received mine after some delivery faux Paul's. It is a quality part and I'm happy with it. But I experienced the same issues with no response to phone calls, text messages or emails. It finally showed up but without any (zero, nada) communication.

  5. The Nut Rollers come in 3 different nut sizes. I bought the smaller of the 3 and it has a tighter wire pattern and was a 1/3 of the price of a brass wizard. Use mine all the time. Only place it becomes troublesome is tall grass and gravel ranges.. but only a small nuisance to save my back..

  6. Springfield Armory camp also. Found a used (<800 rds)Trophy Match 45 for 1200.00. Needs trigger cleaned up and a FO front Sight and skateboard taped front strap.

Also have a Ronin in 9mm, love it.

SA has great Customer Service as well. A used TRP I purchased lost the front Sight. Called SA and the provided a shipping label. Had the slide with new sights back within 10 days. Can't beat that.

    Springfield Armory Customer for life.

  7. Sorry for coming into this late. For starters mag length is an issue. The 1911 must fit the box with mag inserted. 2nd the Tripp Cory mags are what I use exclusively in both major and minor.  Never had an issue. I only have them because I got them with a pistol I purchased. Prior to that I was using Wilson combat 47D mags for major. Works great in all my 1911 40 s&w (and I do have a few)

    Hope this helps

Jammer1911.   What does it weigh?  My DW PM9 just makes weight now with a Techwell aluminum

I am not sure the weight. Mine makes weight with plenty to spare. If you call Johnny and Julian I believe its available in steel or aluminum. Great guys to deal with.
