Minor sucks. I went minor at a major one time many years ago. Gave about 120 points in a match. Huge difference in the standings. I hit 164 on the chrono.
Triangle built QC10 with jp parts. Runs great with any profile 124 gr bullets. No issues. My other parts guns doesn't like jhp with sharp shoulders, but will run zero 125 gr jhp. It's a backup gun so I only feed it what it likes.
Agreed 100%. the guns will wear out and break. Limited guns are one thing, but open guns are another. I would not consider buying a used open gun over a year old. Find a good gunsmith and have it gone thru.
I have SGM mags for my VEPRs. 12 rd sticks and 25 rd drums. You can do the tuning with the help of youtube. I used Carolina Shooters Supply for mos tof the parts.
I run a 6 moa razor on top zeroed at 35 yds and the 3 moa razor on the side at 25yd. I know that I can easily take targets out to 150 yds, and 125 with the 45 dot. I haven't found a USPSA stage that needed anything different. I don't shoot much pcc anymore but do loan the gun out and get no complaints.
I have the Outlaw on a limited gun built me about 8 years ago, before he started building full time. I have had an aluminum grips on it for last few years. I like the aggressive on it better thant the pt. The double under cut is something I have had done on my guns for many years. I like that I can get a really high grip on the gun. I do plan to have it anodized or coated soon.
RMR jacketed isn't that much more. The coated never did build up in my pcc comps. I only crimp enough to hold bullet. I try not break the coating. I tried blues, bayous, both black bullets and a couple others.
I have shot a few matches over the years. Area 3 is one that I didn't care for. I think Area 2 was one of the tougher ones. I live in Area 4, so I try to shoot it every other year. I would like to shoot 2, 4, 5 and 8 next year.
Owned both and prefer the Canik. The sig feels like it sits too high in the hand. I pick up the dot faster with the Canik and prefer the 6 moa over the sig dot. Tough to beat it for the price. I am thinking of getting a second for production division, not sure if it will replace my 34.
Mine do it with long loaded 200 bullets. Too long and forward on the shoulder. 180 loaded 1.180 no issues. Otherwise load to 1.160 and no problems. I only use Tripp mags since they came out.
