I have had to start messing with the shadows more lately since I went back to them. I looked at the MbX, but can’t justify the cost. I have about 30 factory mags and they just work. I did replace the extractor and spring on one of the guns that started having a slower feed. Still ran just could feel it dragging. The gun does require much more cleaning than my 2011 or Glocks. I did have one mag in the bunch that required tuning the follower and spring. It never failed it just wasn’t holding the round in the right spot to ensure feeding.

I tried all the sti 1st and 2nd gen I have. None worked well with the new LO top end. I went Atlas have had no issues. I didn’t try MBX. I am up 2 full sets of Atlas. Black Friday sale was great to get a few more.

I try to pick up processed brass when I can. I will swage when I have to. It makes things so much easier.

Anyone try the ginex primers? I have about 10k on the shelf to try. I have used in a stock legion that they work with. I haven’t installed the trigger yet.

Loading on a 550. Definitely picky on headstamp. No failure to fire in any platform so far.

I did the extra top end for it in 9mm LO. I used an old limited gun. I will be doing the 2nd one on my old 9mm limited for 3 gun. The guns were just collecting dust. 40 minor was tempting and still a possibility just cut it for an optic.

I think I will be using this one next. I tried one from another maker and fitting was a nightmare.

I ran about 250 of it through my orange. It functioned great, but felt like a few rounds were a little soft. I didn’t chrono, since I was going to 115 or 124 loads. I think I may have it reamed if I decide to load 147.

I picked up an optic slide for my S2 orange. I had planned to use it in LO. Then I got bored and put an optic top on a spare 2011. I was looking at the TS before that. I would grab one if it popped up locally at a decent price.

I have used 180 gr 40 in production. With TG it's a good combination. I do prefer some 140 gr coated in 40 for the 1911/2011. I did go ahead and order the Accuracy X slide and am in process of fitting onto my 3 gun 9mm. I did consider cutting one my limited guns, but couldn't do it.

Im the opposite. Its usually against my religion to like a plastic striker gun over a metal DA/SA but after the Apex upgrades, added brass backstrap and steel guide rod, i actually like it better. Idk why, i just do. Thing is so smooth
I get it. I just can’t leave the s2 orange in the safe. I have always partial to Glocks, but the p10 just does it better. If I ever simplify and cut down I would have no issue running the p10.

The s2 is easier to shoot. On the timer in practice it’s a wash. The last major I shoot this year will be with the S2 in production. The p10 goes to every practice and gets about 150 rds thru it. I would not hesitate to use it in a major if I had to. The only upgrade I am adding is grip tape to the p10. Possibly a guide rod to change spring weight.

What are folks opinions on the p10f competition vs just getting a p10f OR and spending the difference in cost on upgrades?
I went the p10f or route. If it’s an optic gun sight radius isn’t a thing. I haven’t run it in a match yet, but it does get out every practice and carried regularly. I might add a tungsten rod eventually. I did get henning pads for it. After season is over I plan to run it more and decide between my S2 and this one for next season. I do have grip tape on the way.

I don’t know about that one, but the grind hard ammo didn’t chamber in the shadow or shadow 2. First 5 rds out of the box wouldn’t fit a case gauge. It’s a shame the price was good on it.

It's just an overpriced polymer 80. Theres absolutely nothing special about them unless you ask Instagram. A stock Glock with a 50 cent trigger job and some cheap eBay sights is literally three times better.
I get that. It comes with grip mods I do anyway. They are not much more than a new 17 and come with optic cut. No plate needed if I go that route.

Anyone using the DR 290? I have seen a few at a couple at matches. They seem to be ok. I think most of the issues were mag related from using other than oem mags. Planning to shoot more production until the primer situation comes back around. I have a 19, 34 and 35, but the 17 feels the best. A couple of shops have them in stock. Not the ones with the tin coated barrels just std black. Do they use the same sight cuts as regular glocks?

I have only used Tripp 10mm mags since they came out. I have a set of older system 10 rd mags that have been used in a few pistols. I use 180 and 200 GR to load minor. Runs great no issues other than newest gun doesn’t like certain bullet profiles. I prefer the gun loaded to 140 pf with 140 coated bullets. Nice, smooth and runs with 10 rd mags.

Looking for competitors who have had tri topped 1911/2011 slides converted to an optic plate/rear sight conversion. I would like to end up with something very similar to the MasterPiece Arms Hybrid System. Looking for quality machinists/gunsmiths that people have had experience with. Any pics or links would be great.
I am not sure if it’s possible on my tri topped slide. I am looking at just building an extra optic cut upper.

I put the PDI in my new gun. Worked great for a couple matches then began to not reset. Using the Taccom buffer system. I tried the POF also had same issue, but was immediate.
-
I run 40 in ss. It lets me shoot major or minor. I lean towards major for most matches. I even shoot major loads in outlaw or Idpa matches. I know there is a huge difference for me with the scoring.
-
I run the alloy pads with a gap magwell. I have used them for about 6 years or so. I am pretty sure it works.
-
I have no issue running with a 34 in A class. I added Warren Sevigny sights, tungsten rod and 15# spring. I have no doubt I could make master if I actually practiced.

The standard AR Velocity will not work in a PCC. I tried when they came out and had no luck. After a few months it came out that they did not work. They do have a PCC specific trigger out now. I can save some headaches for you, if it does not say for 9mm do not waste the time or money. Same with CMC and POF.
