  1. Its something they've been teaching in police academies and tactical pistol schools for years. Now instead of checking your "6" they're training them to check their 540 degree. Not really sure why people do it in a match..
  2. Infinity Firearms for sure, BUT.......are you sure you want to shoot open? The expense doesn't stop with the $5500 gun. Then you have to pick up your brass, you have to use more powder to make major and you have to be better about maintaining your gun to keep it running.....
  3. Tony is a Gorilla, but that gun is Super Flat!!
  4. One of my carry guns is an IMM based 9mm. It may be "stroked" by definition, but I hadn't heard it called that. Whatever the case, it shoots like a SMG and I love it!
  5. If you have to have one that you listed, I'd go with the G35. But like was already said, go with a G34 and shoot production. It will save you money up front and for the long haul. Or, keep an eye on the classified here. You might find a Para or Caspian limited build for under 1k.
  6. And that's the reason only one smith in the country offers the "package" and even he only does it to less than 10% of the guns that leave his shop. This is not correct. SVI does it on their IMM's as well, IIRC. Nope. Brandon doesn't do that to his pistols. .As I said much earlier in this thread, I short stroke my Limited guns with two shock buffers. An alumabuff in front of a Wilson Shock buff. It just makes sense to me and I like the way it makes the gun feel, but I'm not a gunsmith. Ummmm, I know at least one of the team shooters open guns ARE stroked from Brandon. I talked to Bill about it less than a month ago. And a buddy of mine in NC got a new IMM last year that was stroked. So apparently it is available. There is no doubt they can do it. But, from conversations with Brandon, he if a fan of short stroking Limited guns for sure. If a customer or Team shooter absolutely wanted it done, he would probably do it. But, I'll talk to him today report back here tonight. Edited to add: I've spent many hours at the factory over the last 5 years and I have never heard Brandon or anyone else for that matter, mention "stroking or long stroking" any of the pistols. Like I said, I'm sure its something they can do, but I don't think it's very common or I would have heard/seen it.

  8. How do you purchase from them? The web page only shows dealers in AL, TN, GA and it doesn't look like you can order direct. Yes they will ship to your door..
  9. Sprinco 9 or 10 pound spring for minor. 12 pound for major,
  10. I'm pretty sure that is what their Team Shooters compete with....
  11. The bluing on stock STI pistols won't last a minute, so the HC finish alone is almost worth the 400 bones.....
  12. Why would you give up shooting??? You were rocking it on several of the stages and even won stage 8 which was one of the hardest shooting stages in the match. You did great!!! I'm kidding of course!! But, when you see someone like you who isn't very happy with their performance and you still beat me by 21%.......you get what I mean. But to be honest, I've shot so little the last 18 months, I'm really thankful that I finished as well as I did. I had several major mental mistakes (forgot to reload once and reloaded to an empty change a few more) I really didn't think I'd make the top 20. Anyway, back to you...thank you for the compliment and congratulations on another good showing!!
  13. Nice review. After reading that, I should probably just sell my guns and take up Yoga!
  14. OK, I hope y'all know I was just busting Brandon's balls...nothing more. I didn't witness any real range Nazis. Like I said, it was, in my opinion a great match and I'm looking forward to next year!!
  15. I had a great time and was privileged to shoot with an awesome squad...Squad 10. The stages were great as always at the Cowtown Classic and the RO's were courteous and professional. I didn't get to enjoy the lunch today, but Cobb's burger yesterday, was the best tasting burger I've had in a while!! Thanks to all of you who volunteered your time to make it happen. I'm looking forward to the Cowtown Classic 2015!
  16. Paul, I just ordered it off of a skate boarding site. I can't remember which one, but you should be able to find it and have Brandon cut it for you.
  17. Good Point Nope, he posted in 10 or 40. So we know he means 40
  18. i thought they shot in Cresson on the 2nd Saturday too?
  19. If it was a 1911, I would tell you to try a lighter recoil spring. 14 pounds is pretty heavy for 9mm. I had one that would do the exact same thing until I went with a lighter RS.
