  1. Anybody know what size or where to get the set screw for the sight adjustment? The tiny screw in the back
  2. Hmm, never thought about that but I'll check
  3. This is what I thought too. That's why I went there.
  4. I was following the Ben Stoeger site as they seem to be admired by many for the Tangfolio I agree, I might go to 15-16 All my 1911/2011 are 17lb
  5. Primers are 5-8 thousands in. Same press setting for my open loads Same rounds fire every time in other guns (glock, xd and open) You can actually see the light strike. It's just not deep or hard enough hit It's less now with new springs and pin but still a few What other springs could affect?
  6. I have replaced the firing pin and spring for extended, replaced hammer spring for 14lb but still getting a few light strikes Winchester primers Any more ideas?
  7. Always remember it is a volunteer sport. We are all volunteers and each one is as important as the next, regardless of job.
  8. If it's a local match, think local. Smaller prizes always go well in smaller matches. Prize thoughts....Entry fee to the next match, nice dinner or local food gift certificates, sporting goods store certificates, a nice set of shoes/cleats, etc. Buy some shirts from the sponsors. They are the best advertising for the sponsor because people will wear them for years. In the end, it's more about a good match with good friends.
  9. Plus for the Vibra prime. Had a couple of the RF100. They always gave a few upside down primers. Vibra prime gives zero. Not bad to preload 5-10 tubes
  10. Been looking for the rubber ring that goes around the locator pins but haven't found them Anyone know where to get them?
  11. With so many new grips available now for the 2011 frame, I'd like to hear about your favorite. Pics would be nice also.
  12. Since a running gun is absolutely necessary to win, Customer service is 80% of the purchase for me. I need to know the builder will stand behind it and fix it when it needs anything.
  13. Looking to try AA7 powder Anyone have a starter load for 9mm 115 and 124 JHP?
  14. Yep, take a look at the picture. It was towards the bottom of the 8lb bottle Assuming the 'debris' is heavier than the powder, it makes sense it would be at the bottom Also, I tested with new powder. Did not change the press. When I ran new powder, the charge went down .2 grains in weight Meaning.... the other material is obviously heavier. Adjusted charge back to 7.7 with new powder and all went well for 1000 rounds Shot 1k and no debris
  15. I looked back into the WAC bottle (8lb), poured some out into a plate Here is what it looked like. It is a flake powder. It should not have the cylinder type material. It looks like an extruded powder. It was towards to bottom of the bottle (last lb) I opened a new bottle and it was clean.
  16. In the end, I found it was contaminated powder.
  17. Definitely not corn cob media. I don't have any Un-burned powder is definitely a suspicion. The flake stuff would make sense for WAC I have Vit and understand what you are saying. It has the same shape but longer. Very strange looking
  18. Recently, I have had a few jams that I could not identify how. The slide is 99% forward but not locked up. Cannot push forward. Short version, I found debris in the chamber area. Yellow cylinder type material about 1/16th long and maybe a 1/32 in diameter. Also found as flat 'chips'. Bright yellow in color It gets behind the hood and stops the lock up The question is, what could it be / where is it coming from? It is not metal or brass. Load is; 9mm major Starline new brass Winchester Small Rifle primer Hornady Haps 115 JHP Autocomp Powder
  19. Over the years we have seen very few new classifiers. Years ago they slowly started removing any classifier with steel targets. I also notice that only a few have any movement. Personally, I would like to see three new classifiers introduced each year. They could be vetted at the Nationals, allowing many of the GMs to give a baseline. So how do we get some new classifiers into the mix and keep them indicative of the sport?
  20. I'll take the barrels

    (2)  SVI hybrid 9mm 5.0 C/P ramp          $300 each

    (2) Schuemann ultramacth .355 N/W ramp 4.65 commander barrels threaded  $260 each

    How you want the money?

I'm assuming they are new and no ports....

  21. Personally I think the only problem is they are trying to place rifles in a pistol match. If they put the division in Multi-Gun (where they already have the rule book for rifles) it wouldn't be an issue. RO's are already trained for it. Match Directors don't have to change much. The only short fall would be long shots for the PCC. IMO, I like the division but it's a rifle and therefore belongs in a rifle match. I predict PCC will become a separate match where pistols are allowed. Starts will be like steel matches but with movement.
  22. I didn't ask two questions but anyway. The problem I am seeing is when matches try to mix PCC into a pistol match. By definition (and any law in the country that I know of) it is a rifle. When you mix in the rifle into a pistol match it becomes a Multi-Gun match and therefore falls under a different rule book. I still think it's a great division but falls under Multi-Gun matches (JMO)
  23. ^^^ Following the Appendix for PCC equipment rules.... An AR Pistol is not allowed and therefore only rifles are allowed. Does this not make it a Multi-Gun match by default?
  24. Personally, I see PCC as a rifle, not a pistol. After all it's a pistol caliber carbine rifle. If they put them in with Multi-Gun matches the rules are pretty much the same except equipment. Mixing PCC with a pistol match is the same as mixing rifles in the pistol match. It's no longer a pistol match but rather a multi-gun match Since both pistols and rifles are included, someone is going to ask which rules apply. It's a great division but doesn't fit in a pistol match.
  25. Looks like the stages kicked your ass. As a Master at 63% I would more upset with my performance than the stages For the record, I sucked worse....but then I had a broken gun
