  1. Limbsaver handgun shock absorber... Anyone here had experience with this handgun shock absorber meant for some semi-auto pistols without a grip safety? I'm interested specifically about the adhesive and how well it adheres when attached. Here is a page about it: Anyone here had experience with this handgun shock absorber meant for some semi-auto pistols without a grip safety? I'm interested specifically about the adhesive and how well it adheres when attached. More info: the Limbsaver questions... Because of its shape, this device appears manufactured with semi-auto pistols with integral grips. Such as Glocks. I'm not sure if they would work with walnut revolver grips but they might adhere better to aftermarket rubberized grips. And, yes, they are essentually cushions to lessen felt recoil. Sims Vibration labs is better known for its vibration damping products for bows and crossbows and its shotgun recoil pads. I first saw mention of the product in a gun mag before the handgun products were widely available and have been seeking independent commentary since then. They appear to be made first for competitive shooters and come two ways. One way is along with a vibration damping device that attaches to the magazine and also alone without the mag damper.

    What is it?

It is not that I seek to be one with the universe. Two with the universe would be enough.
  3. Interesting new eBook collection on CD. Four volumes, about 1,000 pages of Some Of The Answer on Handguns, Urban Shotgun, Urban Carbine, and Behind the Firing Line Tech Notes and Commentary. Review available at: http://thearmedcitizen.com/gunpages/sota_cd.htm
  4. I'm new to this board and not a competitive shooter, just wanting to improve my accuracy. So, I've seen the gizmos that fit on the glasses/eye protection with the tiny hole and whose name escapes me just now. Are they of any real benefit? And once they are removed, does the improvement stay with you? A surefire fix or just a gimmick? Yes, I've bought Brian's book and have started down that road. But I'm curious if the gizmo is of use to a non-competition shooter.
