  1. After your rebate showed up online for the free mag offer with S&W, how long was the wait until the mags showed up? Thanks The mags were the 17 rd 9mm type if the type makes a difference.
  2. When you sent your rebate, did you send the actual receipt or did you make a copy to send? Thanks
  3. So the instructions on the form say send a copy.... Yes.... The instructions say "send a copy of the receipt"
  4. What have you sent to get the free mags from S&W. I read the instructions and it says a copy of the receipt. Did you send a copy or the original? A member at my club said you have to sent the original. Any help from someone who has sent the documents and recieved the mags. Thanks Forthill
  5. +1 This fix worked like a charm on my CZ, which had an extreme problem in the exact way you describe. I'd try that. I also had this happen and a few strokes with a stone on the corner problem gone. I thought this was a mag problem and called Beven Gram. We worked through the problem and I took his advice. Problem Gone!!!
  6. Was looking at a barrel hood on a gun today which was cut too narrow. The barrel rotataes slightly when twisted from the muzzle. Could this be welded and recut or ??? does the barrel need to be replaced. For the record, it is a comped bull barrel. Thanks
  7. I contacted [a large online dealer] about a problem with one of their shooter bags. The shoulder strap when put together had the strap twisted as the strap passed through one of the end hooks. I asked if they could replace the strap. They informed me, I would have to return the entire bag for replacement. I asked if I could just send the strap since this was the only problem. I was informed no I would have to return the entire bag. Although the service is not bad, it seems a waste to return the entire bag and pay shipping on the entire bag if the strap is the only problem. It seems they will take care of the problem but not without some issues on my part. I vote for Chuck anda bag shooters supply and that is where i will go for a new bag nicer to deal with and still some common sense. Forthill
  8. Does anyone have pictures of the Tripp followers. I have several Tripp 9mm mags that feed great with WWB ammo but will not feed HP bullets. After reading several posts there seems to be another type of follower and I am wondering which are in my mags. Forthill
  9. Which bullet are you using currently in your 38 super. I was thinking the obvious 115 JHP or 124/125 JHP. Also noticed the MG 121. Thanks Forthill
  10. Looking at building a new gun. Was wondering if there is a shift towards 9mm or should I stay with 38 super. Thanks
  11. I am shootong a 9mm STI. I have tried both Tripp and Wilson 10 round mags. When using WWB both magazines will feed without any hang ups. I have been working with JHP style bullets with little luck with either. The Wilsons require shorter OAL and will work sometimes. The Tripp mags will hold longer but still hangs at times. With both type of magazines failures are of the nose dive type. I am wondering if the brand of bullet makes a difference. Please give me a brief description of the loads you have found to work well and the type of gun. Thanks Gary
  12. These are STI mag tubes. I am using an 11 coil Gram spring and the problem occurs with three of the four mags I am currently working with. It was suggested by a fellow shooter to grind the front of the mag tube down just a little. I am not talking about the feed lips but the actual front of the tube where it angles down. What do you think?
  13. I have 140mm mags with Dawson SNL base pads and Grams followers. The gun will stop before it goes into battery with 2 rounds left. It appears when the second to last round moves foward it is pulling the last round along. The nose of the bottom round is catching on the front edge of the mag tube and the round going into the chamber will not slide in. If the mag is dropped 1/16 of an inch the round will easily slip into battery. If the magazine is removed there will be a mark on the nose of the bottom round bullet where it was digging into the magazine.
  14. When shooting I have noticed after the third or fourth shot I lose my grip with my weak hand. I have tried shifting my hand around. Just can't seem to find a solution. For your info shooting 2011 and 1911 type guns.
