  1. Where can you find the TacMod stock for the AR? Specifically a 308 AR? Thanks Pat
  2. Does anyone have some photos of this modification? My Tac Sol mags fit snuggly in my STI frame and you have to push from the top to get the magazine out. Thanks Pat
  3. I am looking to get a 9 shot magazine extension to be able to get to 9 plus 1 in the M1. Which extension is recommended? 1) SRM http://www.surecycle.com/index.php/magazine-ext-tubes.html?p=2 2) RCI amd an extension or a whole magazine replacement? http://www.xrailbyrci.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Session_ID=d9c0c5f72030aa2447fce85a65fdc9d1&Screen=PROD&Store_Code=xrail&Product_Code=1201-XM2BEB&Category_Code=XTENSION 3) Briley http://www.briley.com/benellim110shotextensiontube.aspx 4) Nordic Componenets http://nordiccomp.com/retail/shop/nc-extensions/new-nc-mxt-shotgun-extension-complete-assembly-12ga/ 5) Benelli (try to find a factory) 6) or ?????? What length barrel is needed to match the length of a 9 shot magazine extension 26" or 28" (or does it vary by manufacturer)? Thanks Pat
  4. Does 922r not allow several certain attributes so if you do not have a pistol grip stock you can use an extended magazine? On the Benelli Forums they were looking for straight stocks so they could add magazine extensions without violating 922r. You may want to start by reading 922r and going from there. Pat
  5. I believe Marvel Precision uses Ace magazines for their 2011 base magazine. Pat
  6. Yes.. Here is a photo of a Marvel single stack magazine converted for an STI. Since Marvel is now using GSG 1911 magazines for their single stack conversions I was hoping that they used the same for their double stack conversions, they don't. Now I am hoping some enterprising soul has decide to convert a $35 magazine for $25 or $30 for use in an STI 2011 (saving $25 or $30 over the cost of a Tac Sol STI magazine). Additionally there are upgrade kits for the GSG mags that turn them from a 10 round magazine to a 14 or 15 round magazine which becomes a bit more interesting when shooting a Steel Challenge Match (cut the mag changes in half ). Pat
  7. Does anyone convert GSG 1911 magazines to work in a STI 2011 frame? I have a Marvel Unit 1 arriving next week (hopefully) and would like to use it in my STI 2011 Eagle AND use the GSG 1911 magazines (due to price and I already have several available to use). I am hoping someone either makes a conversion kit or will convert them for use in the 2011 Thank you Pat
  8. Thanks, I will get the order into Shooters Connection and see what fit what. I am hoping that I can find someone locally with a gauge and see if they are legal. 11 coil, file down the Grams pad to lock back after last round. Thanks Pat
  9. What are the differences between the Dawson Precision +1 and Sometimes Not Legal base pads? I am looking to order the parts to upgrade some stock STI magazines and would like to put grams guts and a DP base pad but don't know if I have to go to the SNL to get 20 rounds of 40 S&W in the magazine or if the +1 has the same capacity? Which of the Grams springs should I use...11 coil or the 13 coil? Best place to order the spring kits, base pads and a set of grip tape numbers all together??? Thanks Pat
  10. I was guided towards the green DP .100 fiber optic front sight. I have not used it much yet but I like what I have seen so far. It is on a Kimber single stack. Pat
  11. As I was reading up on USPSA there was an article on what the shooters were using. The vast majority were using Bear Creek Supply moly coated cast bullets (there were a number of other used, cast as well as jacketed). I bought some BCS bullets to give them a go and am just now starting to load them. More to come. After going back to the old school Partner Press, Rock Chuckar and automatic powder measure I REALLY need to get the Dillon conversion kit. I must have 6 to 8 hours into 150 rounds. Heck I could have 3k to 4k loaded on the Dillon in that amount of time. Are there any less expensive Dillon Suppliers on-line? I have always purchased through Dillon in the past (20 years ago). Pat
  12. I have the 45ACP plate so will give it a try. Thanks Pat
  13. Which plate do you use for the 40 S&W...small pistol or large pistol? I am currently looking to add 40S&W to my 650 capability and it has been sooo long since I reloaded on it least ways purchased caliber change "stuff" that I am starting from scratch.. Thanks Pat
  14. New to the forum. I have been lurking for about a month after having shot my first USPSA match in May. With all of the subsequent questions I was pointed this direction. I shoot a good old fashion 1911 single stack 45 ACP. Not too fast, and after last weeks match not too smart but having a load of fun. I still have a number of questions and am hoping to find some reasonably priced items in the classified section to help move along in the outfitting direction. Thanks Pat
