Bring the gun, followers, springs and tubes. ("repair kits") leave the base pads. The mags you had before 2000. period Burdon of proof is on them. you can do a search on calguns.net I know it's hard to weed through it all

Anybody have a preference and why? I am looking at installing one or the other to help out these 59 year old eyes and was curious as to the +'s and -'s of each. I would also appreciate any thoughts on mounting. They would be installed on either an STI or SV, still debating which gun to use. ThanX in advance for the help

I am looking to purchase my first 45 and was considering either a Nighthawk or Wilson. The gun will be used mainly for target and light (informal) competition, it will not be a carry gun. I have no experience with the 1911 platform but do own other semiautos (Bren10, Ruger, Browning) Any thoughts would be appreciated. The other problem is that I live in California so it would have to be on the approved 'buy' list.
