Also not a bad read. The main character, "Gideon Crew," is different than their traditional Pendergast books. I've gone ahead and pre-ordered the next one in this series, which is an additional nod in this one's favor. ...Worth it as a nice distraction for fun reading time.

I agree it is a very good read, but quite different from the traditional classic Swagger novels. Although they are obviously worlds apart as authors and in subject matter, this book reminds me of how Without Remorse is a rather focused outlier of the traditionally mega-multi-subplot Clancy-authored series.

As an owner and user of Larues, a CTR02, and a JP15....no question for me: CTR02 for 3 Gun all the way.

I've had several buy/sell experiences with them over the years. All have gone well. Another +1 for them.

THE most efficient and organized system of product review, dealer interaction, delivery, payment, etc. I have encountered in a retail setting. On the East Coast, The Carolina Cup and SW Indoor Nationals are favorites of mine (both are Frank Glover-directed matches)! GA State at Conyers has also been VG in years past.

Last post was NOT meant to imply there aren't good ROs "up yonder," too. Nobody get their feathers ruffled. Merely mean to imply that everyone working the match, regarless of hometown, is experienced and committed to the match and sport.

As for you other question, S&W Indoor Nationals is a great match. Well managed, good ROs (I'm biased, as several of us from NC head up to work the match), good stages, nice venue, etc. I recommed the match without reservation.

Two trips to RockCastle in under six months...this sounds almost too good to be true! Nice work and great idea, Jeff and Co! Hope to see you there in both April and August!

This was a really good match yesterday. No long range, but Tim and his colleagues did a really good job putting on a challenging match with lots of transition, nontraditional/offhand positions, and even a surprise stage. For those of you on the fence about coming to the next one, I recommend it. Only 4 stages, but good times and good shooting for all.

I'm looking forward to this match! See you there!

Oh my! Before watching the trailer, reply was ....fuggeettaboutit, not another remake! Afterwards, well, guess I know what movie I'm seeing this Christmas! Out of reverence to The Duke and the legacy of films he left behind, however, any observations of and commentary on the 2010 movie will have to be henceforth made in absence of any comparison to the original. That said, this one should hold up on its own by first impressions.

This is just recently out on Netflix. Michael Caine does a Charles Bronson imitation in the UK. I liked it though. Any one else seen it?

It's certainly worth the price of admission....thumbs up. Funny fact from a radio interview about the "making of": throughout the entire course of making this film, especially the "stadium scenes," BPD only received ONE 911 call related to the sound of gunshots. !?
