  1. From my experience with bottom-feeders-only, I would suggest a variation: More triggering between reloads. I'd noticed that my 2-reload-2-reload-2 <and so on> stationary dryfire technique was vastly different from the "cerebral palsy" reload I seemed to prefer during classifiers. So now I set up a half-dozen targets, and do more pretend shooting (10 shots) between reloads. Preferably while moving. Keeps you out of the "focus totally on the reloads" mentality, and gets you to do them consistently as part of the stage. Works much better for me during matches. Hmmm. I do the exact opposite. If I focus hard on my reloads it buys me more time to shoot. Works for me, I'm not a revo expert though... lol
  2. I bought a Trubor from Brazos Custom. Bob did the trigger, the fitting, and drilled and tapped the mag button. It will not cost that much more than the stock STI gun since they are cheaper on the Brazos sight.
  3. I've shot steel matches with sandals and flip-flops. No IPSC though.
  4. Yep, the one with the red arrow is the one to thin. You could call it the sides of the hand, just where it rubs in the slot in the frame.
  5. I like the Coppertone spray too. My mom won't buy it for me any more because it stains white t-shirts (FYI). Bummer. I hate sun burn too. Today I went shooting, mowed the lawn, and went fishing. No sunscreen. Lets just say I'm never going to even think about wearing flip-flops outside that long again. My feet are killing me...
  6. Lol, nice one. That would have happened to me on the way to the junior camp but my dad reminded me to check the bottom of my bag. It was a good thing he did because I found like 10 rounds just laying around in it. Good luck at A5.
  7. Just view his profile then scroll down to the bottom where it says send email.
  8. Yep, we can arrange that. Good idea, so people can set there gun bag and stuff up there too.
  9. The hand is slightly too thick. The length is not the issue. Ya, either the hand is to thick or the ratchet needs polished a little, the ratchet thing is a PITA... It is not the cylindar stop. If you look very closely, when the cylindar is in, you can see the hand rubbing on the ratchet during the very last part of the pull like you are describing.
  10. We have plenty of tables to load on and to set your stuff on. Hopefully everyone will have enough speedloaders and will not be messing around at the line sorting out the spent rounds from the empties. Just trying to keep things moving smoothly...
  11. Do you have an updated breakdown of the shooters like on page 2? Trying to decide what to shoot...
  12. Man, if I load any longer than 1.180 with the lead 180 TC bullets I use for practice I get lots of death jams. The bullet hits the rifling and you can see where it is getting caught. Now I load to 1.160 and use a Factory Crimp Die, it runs flawlessly.
  13. I'm on Nicks side 6"ers are better. My gun is better than his though, so... Good choice, my brother has a Benny 5" fat free and it is super light. The weight won't disappoint you...
  14. This is going to be a fun match. We spent most of this afternoon getting the steel challenge targets ready. They all needed to be taken out, ground the rust off of, and painted. That is one time consuming B#$@h of a job... The steel challenge targets we have have a wide range of adjustments. There should be some interesting and different stages. You're missing out if you don't sign up for this match. Craig
  15. If it works for you, use it. I heard from someone on the AMU team and they say not to use the finger on trigger guard grip because it makes it easier to pull shots. I would try shooting a group at 25 yards with that grip and with the normal grip. That should determine what is best for you...
  16. Sweet, my dad printed 3 entry forms this morning so it looks like we'll be coming. Craig
  17. Ya, big congrats to them. I was on there squad for both days and they were making the rest of us look bad... Craig T. Don't worry Craig, as good as you and your brother were shooting, it won't be long and you will be making us look bad. Ha, I wouldn't say I was shooting that good... Thanks though, my brother was kicking ass. See ya at A3 or somthing. Craig
  18. Ya, big congrats to them. I was on there squad for both days and they were making the rest of us look bad... Craig T.
  19. That explains why we couldn't get the honeymoon suite with the heart-shaped hot tub. A couple of guys from FL beat us to it Speaking of hot tubs .... Here's what awaits y'all in Osceola. Damn, who's that fine looking young man in the front left?
  20. He's not a junior anymore. I think he turned 18 pretty recently because he was at the MGM-AMU junior camp last year.
  21. We're leaving Friday morning. I've been practicing a ton for this. At least 200 rounds every day for the last 2 weeks with open and limited. Lookin forward to it...
  22. Dwight, shooting revo, ah man I missed it.
  23. I don't think I've ever used a flat point bullet that worked 100% on a dirty feed ramp... Round nose are a ton more reliable.
  24. +1 I'd say around 4K would be a good deal. The 1K rounds of super comp ammo is pretty pricey...
