  1. Yea, sounds like the problem is in the load or the cylinder chambers. Doubt the speed-loaders are the problem...
  2. You're right on the Federal Auto match. Winchester Super X (I think that's what its called) also ignites pretty good.
  3. I've had a couple high primers with the wolf primers. For some reason it seems like they don't seat as well as others. They ignite fine when they are fully seated though...
  4. Great match, as always. I wish today with the open/limited gun would have worked out better than it did... lol Thanks to Doug, Jim, John, the stats ladies, and Doc and Esther Stock for this years large prize table. Also thanks to all sponsors that donated prizes to the prize table. Craig
  5. Interesting, I might have to try one of those out... Thanks for input Randy.
  6. Whoa, that guy is pretty handy to say the least. Looks like it works pretty good. Nice piece of equipment for $9.24...
  7. This kind of thing happened to me one time too. I loaded about 300 then realized that the was no powder in the cases.... Don't rely on weighting them. I would just pull them, all of them. It will save you time when you get to the range and start shooting. Not having to clear squibs every other round...
  8. Yes, definitely not ready for spell check, either....young padwan...... Just make sure you case gauge all your ammo this year and your equipment works......! Greg, you and your dad drive safely. The range is already set up and I just need to get down there and do some mowing.... Prize table is approaching 10K .....we might be able to squeeze some more shooters in on Thursday and Friday.....Lemme know ASAP! Regards, DougC Oh, sorry Mr. Carden. lol Wait a second, my stuff worked fine last year...? See ya on Thursday, or maybe Wednesday night. Craig
  9. Looks like that's the case. I'm curious to see what the whole thing looks like.
  10. I can't wait for it, but after todays steel challenge match... I'm definitly not ready.
  11. I could see that being an option for a long gun.
  12. Ah, come on Mike. You know accuracy and major power factor loads are not quite my style... I like the Back-to-Back on Saturday and Sunday, then a 22 revo and auto steel match on Friday.
  13. Got up to 66 here today. I was wishing that I was wearing a sweatshirt while I was practicing.
  14. You can borrow mine anytime. We'll be in Ankeny on Sunday, if you could bring it there that would be great. The jeep is running fine, BTW.... the battery thing was a coincidence.... Thanks
  15. +1 My weight lifting coach has us grab a 10 pound weight in each hand then do 6 hang-snatches, overhead squats, jerks, etc... for a warm up. Along with 1/4 a mile and 3 minutes of jump rope. We don't stretch at all, until we're done lifting.
  16. Early morning. If you are hurting your self while lifting my guess is that you weren't warmed up enough...
  17. I've thought about doing it to a 617 but was having a hard time finding a reamer. I think it would help with ignition too...
  18. Right handed and left eyed. I use my right hand and have no issues, just have him use both eyes while shooting. Thats how I do it and I don't need to turn my head funny or anything... I would hate shooting left handed all the time...
  19. Tite Group. The only down side is the smoke... I here good things about Solo 1000 too, but have no experience with it.
  20. I can't decide between DougCarden, HSMITH, or G-man. All have lots of good answers to a variety of different shooting, gun smithing, and reloading questions.
  21. I sent my Trubor to Bob and Ingi after I was having some hammer following issues at the Pro-Am. I sent it on the 9th and received it today, good thing since I have a big match next week... Not only did Bob fix the problem, but the trigger is probably a good half pound lighter. Since I bought the gun from Brazos he did the work free of charge, (as warrenty work). Thanks for your exceptional work. Craig T.
  22. No, they are already pretty hard to get out, plus I've never seen one come loose before. Like Doug said, it could lead to damaging the rod when you take them out. They're easy to bend...
  23. +1 Nick, if I practiced as much as you it probably would be pretty easy.
  24. For SC try: 6.5 grns. 4756 125 zero 1.233 OAL 8.0 grns. N105 125 zero 1.233 OAL Those work good in my super. I use the 4756 for practice since it is cheaper and the n105 for match. The n105 works the comp a little better and is much cleaner. I've had good luck with the 125 zeros and tite group for 9mm...
