  1. Go for it with the grip tape. I have been using a standard grip tape kit for the last few years on my Glock 17 with great success. After reading the experiences of others on this forum using TruGrip, I wanted to give it a try. Holy Cow, what a difference. TruGrip is Awesome. The other grip tape helped with my sweaty hands but the TruGrip gives me a more comfortable and stable grip around the entire grip area. It is also softer and doesn't rip up my hands like a large grit sandpaper grip. Punch in TruGrip in the search funtion on the site to read other experiences as well. Good Luck and welcome to the forum.
  2. Have you already purchased the holster? I recently purchased a WSM II Glock version already set up for left handed from Shooters Connection.
  3. Thats Awesome. You're not supposed to be able to do that. Thank God you never let yourself believe that crap.
  4. Thanks guys. I am so used to everything on a Glock being "drop in" type parts, I wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one who experienced this. The next time I will have the file ready.
  5. I just installed a set of Sevigny sights on a new 34. This is the third different Glock that I have these sights on and I am very happy with them once they are installed. Does anyone else notice how tough the rear sight is to install? I have installed other sights using my Glockmeister tool without as much trouble. By the time the rear sight was installed the tool was cooked. I am not sure if this is due to the tight tolerences of the sight or maybe the tool is not setup to handle them. Due to the fact that the part of the sight that in the cut out of the slide is forward of the the raised part of the sight would certainly raise the torque factor as well. I put a little lube on the sight to ease the installation without much luck. I am curious other peoples experiences are with these sights and what tools they are using. Thanks guys.
  6. 6 months after the purchase of my 650 my wife walked out the door. If I knew it was that effective I would have bought the 1050 and had her out in 3. In all seriousness, you will never regret buying anything from Dillon. If you are reloading to save money that is a total fallacy. Now that you have the ability to have an endless supply of ammo you will shoot more than ever, but then again, that is the point.
  7. This topic has been discussed in the last couple of weeks here:Topic Link
  8. It might be time to call in the best exterminator in the business.

    LWD now has G34 slides.

Appendix D4-Production Division Line 21 They are legal provided they are the same length, contour and caliber as original factory standard. The only other thing that you will have to double check is if it add more than 2 ounces to the gun. That is a no no.
  10. Any idea when they'll be out, how much, and of course, pics? Is this an STI item or is it from another company? Sounds like the new SC bag is perfect. Any links to the belts & pouches Saul was talking about? Saul's site!!! have fun Definitely a must see. Maybe the magnetic holster is next.
  11. For those interested the Shooting USA - Sighting In TV show tonight will feature introducing new shooters to USPSA. It airs at 5:00 and 9:00 Eastern Time Below is the details of the show from the Shooting USA site: This time we’re Sighting In with new shooters in USPSA competition. What’s it like being one of the newest competitors to try Practical Shooting? We’re in Georgia with a class to find out. Then three of our guys shoot a match with a local USPSA club and prove you don’t have to be fast to have fun. We’re taking you to a New Shooter’s Clinic at one of the best USPSA shooting clubs in the nation. We’ll show you what it’s like, learning to be the newest competitors in the extreme sport of run and gun handgun shooting. And show you what you might expect starting out with your local club. Eric Lund is the volunteer instructor for a half-day of classroom explanation of the rules and requirements for USPSA shooting. Eric’s Presentation takes the class through a complete explanation of range procedures, the rules, the scoring, and the safety requirements. The afternoon is one-on-one work with the guns starting with the grip. The additional Instructors are experienced shooters with the Gwinette Practical Shooting League who have volunteered to help start these new shooters with the right fundamentals, the proper grip, the right sight picture, and how to show the gun is clear at the end of a run through a stage. The final step is running the new shooters through a small stage of fire to get them used to shooting against the timer.
  12. I didn't go to the show but if you are interested here is a link to the show program. Shot Show Program Warning: it is a large download, 40 pages pdf. There is a small description of STI's new Steel Master on page 22 and Para's Super Hawg on page 20 along with the other new pistols.

    21SF is here

There is a tad less trigger reach and a magazine release that could be changed around for a lefty.
  14. Awesome topic. I have been reading it over for last couple of days since Flex brought it up in another thread. There is enough to keep me busy for a while with great practice tips and time proven techniques.
  15. When you go to the page that this link leads to, there is a pdf application to the right of the Steel Challenge Logo.
  16. Dont send it yet. Use it until one of the primers inside goes off, that will blow it apart and you can dump the rest of them. Then you can avoid the hazmat fee. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!--------------Larry ROFLMAO
  17. Merlin Would you look past my plastic gun if a Vibra_Prime just happened to fall into the envelope submitted with my application.
  18. You're right Flex. I was out of line throwing gas on a situation that doesn't need it. I apologize to Singlestack Wonder, yourself and the other forum members. Sorry Guys and Gals.
  19. If IDPA would have bought the SC would they still follow USPSA rules? All I was stating is that any reference to IDPA should be removed from the rules. If SC wants to follow the IDPA rules, then do not acknowledge the fact. Don't be short sighted or micro minded. USPSA is not going to change the format of the match in the short term, that was part of the agreement. But SC is now part of USPSA and will evolve. I can't speak for Bill Wilson, but if I purchased a well ran, working "machine", that generated capital based on it's availability to persons of all shooting disciplines, I would not change it. Bill certainly knows how to run a shooting organization based on the continued success of IDPA. On another note, I hardly call elimination of divisions (or whatever the correct term is) of anything that is not USPSA (i.e. SASS, IDPA, etc) "evolving". All it takes is a resentment and a new set of steel plates and you can start your own steel challenge organization. It looks like you have the first part down pat. Typical un-enlightened comment. I presume if USPSA was ever able to purchase SASS, it would be OK to eliminate single action cowboy guns? Anyway.............nuff said............ My point is: Lets see how we can make this successful no matter who owns the organization or what the categories are. If you are not able to set aside past resentments or disagreements then you are always going to look at this with a sour taste. Why bother unless you are only looking for an arguement.
