  1. Took a class this past week with a GM. I didn’t know a bunch of stuff I didn’t know! I’m high A shooter right now and never taken a class. My stance was wrong, my transitions were not good. Learned to square up on targets, bracket them with my feet if possible, to blend my knee’s a little, keep my pistol extended in correct form and grip, and to transition target to target with my hips and core..I cut my times dramatically...I’m still got to repeat, practice and form these correct habits after years of doing it wrong way. Great subject and great way to cut your overall times...
  2. It’s only junk..didn’t pull extractor and clean
  3. They’ll have it in morning.. thanks for your help..
  4. What I can’t figure out is why every piece of brass has the black carbon marks in exact same place...where the crack is showing..all the marks are starting is same place under rim, moving around and up the rim..they all start right at extractor claw mark..
  5. I went back to range and picked up several hundred rounds of brass...my range...All I’ve shoot in this gun is 7.2 WAC and Tula Small mag primers..all my brass looks like the brass in this picture...I’m second owner..bought pistol from guy I know..he had it built, and put about 5000 round through it...I’ve fired about 2000. The hammer spring is as it came from Atlas. First owner had played with spring some..I had just put new Wolf 8 lb spring..the spring that came out was stacking by about one coil..
  6. I never shoot 9 major twice..so I went back to my practice range and picked up some to look at primer and primer pockets - primers look great, but every single case has the black mark on rims..thoughts??
  7. Found this on my Atlas Custom Open 9 this evening...about 5000 rounds through it - I've put 2500 rounds on it since I bought it - Tula Small Pistol Mag primers 7.2 grs AutoComp 124 MG at 1.165 Federsal brass 173'ish Power Factor..
  8. Spring was stacking on my gun. I cut the spring down, then went and praticed. My pairs are nice nice and tight. I'd be fighting the pairs some and this made a bid difference.. Gun is a Atlas 9major Open..
  9. How do you guys test and cut recoil springs for binding/stacking? What collapse/length is considered perfect? How many coils do you cut at a time while working the spring down and exactly what are you looking for? Thanks
  10. NCShadow2 Give Shooters Connection a call - They had them in stock with the tigh pad last week. Where I ordered mine from...just back from practicing at the range - I can't say enough about how smooth this holster is! The only thing I don't like is the rollers bearings are wearing the finish pretty good on the bottom of the gun..
  11. These threads are always fun!! I'm shooting an Atlas - great gun, even better customer service. Haven't owned the others, so can't say but both have great reputations..
  12. I just went through this exact thing. I ordered a SV insert for my DAA at the same time I ordered a new Everglade MRH for my Atlas Open gun with Cheely E2 grip. The DAA works, but in my opinion it’s sloppy..lots of movement down the gun from the trigger guard. The cheely grip did fit into the MRH without modification, but the lock was little hard to engage...just a little filing, and it was good to go. All my other holsters will be sold..the MRH is awesome holster !
  13. Perttime Good drones today, like a DJI Mavek 2 Pro, has sensors all over them. You can’t run one into a person. I can try walking or running into mine, it backs out of way. The new drones today are capable of doing so much it’s incredible. Most people have Zero ideal of what they are capable of doing today. They are a great tool for those looking to film/phots ny event, especially a action sports like USPSA..good ones are small , quite, and wouldn’t be a distraction at all for me if I was shooting. I can lock mine on myself, set the distance for it to maintain, and take a jog through the woods..the damn thing will maintain its sets distance and follow me through woods all the while avoiding tree’s, limbs, etc. Its just one of many things it is capable of..it’s pretty neat equipment..
  14. If you want the very best, buy a Nightforce.. https://www.nightforceoptics.com/riflescopes/atacr/atacr-1-8x24-f1
  15. If your not running a longer throat and are seating your bullets in the donut region, you should most certainly worry about them..
  16. If you have to fall right between sizes for belts, get the smaller size as the bigger one will be way to big.
  17. Text and emails - it's so easy for the tone/optics of the message to be misread or taken wrong. I see both sides of the coin here...but I do believe the old saying that says customer is always right regardless goes a long way instead of arguing with them on an open forum when they are trying to spend $5000 dollars with you...just an observation...I can tell you that I was looking at ordering a Honcho from you guys until I run across this thread and read your comments- You come across agrumentative to your customers in your responses. I decide to send my money with someone who handles their customers, whether the customer is right or wrong, more kindly. From all accounts though, you guys make great guns..
  18. Wow...not very tactful there...glad I went a different route now..I know facts are facts, but the way you address your customers matters..
  19. I know this seem like something that shouldn't be stated - but we all sometimes get slack from time to time...yesterday evening I'd forgotten my glass when I went to practice so I just work on paper targets. This evening while shooting on my plate rack at 17 yards, this happens. Somehow a ricochet got back to me....had to have the wife dig what was left of the 124 JHP MG out..I know it goes without says unless you're a dummy(that's me yesterday!!), always protect your eye's!!
  20. Bought some standard cap/socket head 8/32 screws 3/4" long and cut them to needed lenght..
  21. Thanks - just went local hardware store and bought some socket head replacements - they are 8/32 believe it or not, and not metric...cost me $3... The stainless screw kit they sell for $6.50 plus shipping is still those tiny allen head screws..
  22. Just got one- ordered from Shooters Connection as they have them in stock. Theirs comes with the tigh pad - Very impressed with holster and how easy and smooth the draw is - did have to file down a little for my E2 grip. It worked out of box but the lock down was a little stiff. Only thing I don't care about are allen head screws they use on the holster - same size as a lot of optic mounts and are very easy to strip while tightening. I'm going find some different screws to replace these.
  23. I think these long wait times and delays will be a make or break for Honcho’s..people like what they like and are very brand loyal..but right now, no one is shooting and the delays are easier to take..once shooting starts back, I think people will be lots less understanding..I hope they get their production problems worked out...nothing like have a great product, people standing in line to give their money away, and having problems getting the products out. On same note, it says a lot about your product when you have so many people waiting to get one..
  24. Anyone here not a fan of the E2 grip - I've put 600-700 rounds on my new Atlas in the last couple of days and my hands are raw..Think I must prefer grips with skaters tape..I love the size and fill of the E2 though..If I knew I could be skater type to fit it, I'd grind this thing done to smooth..
