I'm using a SARK. .22 adapter it's a drop in bolt and .22 magazine. It's different than a dedicated 22 upper. I didn't have to weld up. And I hold my own with guys running $200 plus trigger assemblies....
-
What does it look like when bullet comes apart? Never seen it.
And yes paper for most part. I just want a cheaper training round for the close stuff,
-
I tried running my .22 adapter after ez trigger job. And other mods. Polish, bob hammer, springs, adj gas block, It functions about 50% of time. Light strikes,
I put it in a stock AR and viola' it works 100%.
It it's functions 100% with .223
So now I'm doubting the whole lightweight hammer theory at this point.
I'm going to change back to stock hammer spring and see it that fixes issue. Hopefully won't change trigger pull too much.

Finally fixed issue... Got busy with work and broke down and dropped off to LGS. As suspected some 2 of 3 mags were out of spec...they needed some grinding at shoulder of mag. They also changed to another reduced trigger spring just in case. Also mec gar never relplied to my emails. I'll post photo tomorrow.
I going to now polish mag surface shoulder and inside trigger bar......

"It" happened this week. The zen "it". The buzzer went off at practice match. My movements were ahead of my thoughts the speed was faster than ever, with tigh a zone accuracy. It almost felt like I was outside of my body watching.. From the draw and 6 shots. It's was slow motion....time slowed time folded......
Now to repeat this....
I've been driving a lot for work at night. I've been doing a lot of eye focus, transition drills. Which are paying off!!!
Trying to get .223 loaded and dope today. Yeah yeah. I hear you .... Some of these skills are transferable. It's fun it's toys!

What is range log
-
Minimal would be my guess.
That's what I thought.
By the time it becomes an issue .... That brass will be long gone from my hands.....
I'm not doubting the the science.
After seeing how well citric acid works considering the bucket only method. I only see pink only highly tarnished bass. If too much it gets culled!

I ran a slightly compressed load. Not always necessary. Always work up to a load. And always look for reassure signs. I'm not familiar with that bullet profile. But I'm guessing that light a bullet will not compress powder. Next you'll need to chrono to see if you are getting consistent velocities. I think finding the sweet spot for bullet and barrel is more important.

thanks guys more tuning as soon as i can reload..... yeah i did get a killer deal!!!

ill be loading 77/75 grn pills for AR
i currently have lee dies. considering up grade.

anyone running these? Opinions?
i'm a bit skeptical of the system.......
i got them when i bought gas block.....
i have syrac adj. gas block, standard weight BCG,
currently its tuned to spikes ST-T2 buffer.
it shoots pretty flat with heavier barrel and brake, prior to gas block change.
I didn't feel that much of a dramatic change with muzzle flip/perceived recoil with gas block change only although spent brass is no longer showing signs of being over gassed.

any one know why the went with truncated cone design vs flat point?

SP-01 tactical

Thinking out loud.
If you had to heat upper..... may be start of problem.
Someeting sounds loose/ inconsistent.
Wouldn't lock up issues show more vertical stringing?
How does it shoot with iron sights?
Is there public range near you... Trade out bolt. Trade out lower. Have someone else shoot it.
How does bolt fit to barrel? A little difficult wit assembled ... Did you dry fit before assembly?

im following , anxiously, this thread
i had similar issues a few years ago.... i ended up moth balling it.... yesterday dusted it off and now its grouping @25 only thing new is comp/break was bird cage.. (shaking my head) white oak barrel
grabbing at straws here.....
right twist rate for for bullet?
heating upper??? is this where misalignment is?
inconsistent bolt lock up? have you tried different bolt? have you checked bolt for other issues?/timing issues?
are you shooting hand loads? have you checked for inconsistent powder charges? have you shot same ammo in different gun?
have you remeasured cartridge oal after chambering?
how much will +- poundage on barrel nut change things ?
-
not hitting too hard.....
im faster with m4 gery than cz spo1
do you have a lighter bullet powder combination that works in a 1/7 under 100yards a zone accuracy?

550 .223 die?

Here is my issue now.
I bought some lake city brass. I bought them sized and pockets swaged. If I resize with Lee die set the neck side comes out a bit long by a few thousandths. But otherwise case gauges fine. I may just load these without resizing again, just take out 1st die
I need to clean and test some non pre sized brass, through the Lee dies.
