  1. So I finally purchased a case loader and am setting up my machine for 9mm. Now a buddy calls up and says he wants to come over in a couple of weeks and load .45, I have the seperate top set up for .45 dies, powder measure all ready to go. It is a quick change without the case loader how long does it take with one on? I have been searching on this site for close to an hour but can't find the info. Guess my googlease is not so good.
  2. Like Joecicholid said!! Just to set the record straight it was ignorance on my part, no tricks by the seller Q Guns. He clearly stated "Once fired brass from a Law enforcement range. ALL are once fired only! Military (WCC 00) headstamp" in his discription, I did not know what that meant........do now though.
  3. Well thanks guys, that explains the "bargin" that I got. Am I correct that it will only need decrimped the 1st time I reload them?
  4. It is great looking brass head stamped WCC 00 and then a small circle divided into 4 quarters (sort of). Any how tried reloading some of this in my 550 and it will not allow a primer to seat. If I deprime and then clean the flash hole everything is fine. I am using Winchester primers. Anyone know what I have here? And any suggestions? We no longer have any small kids in the house to punish. If we did I'd wait until the time was right and make one of them deprime and clean all 3500. Edited to add it's 9mm brass
  5. Hank Ellis said: I'm not qualified as I have no experience in those calibers, don't shoot Open, and don't have the free time anyway. Cal Brady said: I can fine tune the load to me and the gun but after that I could really use someone to knock this stuff out in bulk for me. I guess I'll flaunt my ignorance here. If Cal sends you the materials, sends you the specs, won't you simply follow the recipe? Run some through the chronograph to double check results and then start cranking them out when Cal gives you the thumbs up?
  6. QUOTE(bubback @ Dec 22 2007, 08:29 PM) Won't feed worth a damn in my 550 primer tube. That is the only problem I have head about them.they don't feed. I was told by a friend to use Winchester, so I did. I have no problems. 10 + years ago WELL NOW that makes me feel a lot better. CCI's were giving me a ration and I thought maybe I was doing something wrong. HEE HEE much better.
  7. My wife is very short waisted and only 5' tall. She tried carrying a Kahr T9 but it printed a lot, and poked her in places that she didn't want poked. She now carrys a Kel-Tec P11 9mm and it seems to be working out real well. She carries the Kahr in her purse as a back up.
  8. Bought some CCI primers. Buddy of mine says he does not use them because they have a reputation for being hard. Anyone else have that experience. If yes what are your favorite primers and why? Thanks for your help.
  9. That's what I was hoping to hear.
  10. I am polishing up some 9mm brass that has been deprimed. @20% of the brass have some corn cob stuck in the flash hole. Is this anything to worry about? I have been blowing them open with a air hose but it's a PINA. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.
  11. Well I unintenionaly changed 2 things at one. I put the 45 case on top of the plastic primer rod and started a different batch of brass. I thought I had cleaned the brass well enough but the process was sticking when I flared the brass. With the clean brass it is as smooth as can be. One of the 2 changes has pretty much fixed the problem. Thanks for your help folks.
  12. By any chance do you load muliple calibers? I had the same thing happen and realized I left the 40 shellplate in while trying to load 9s. Switched shellplates and problem fixed. Not yet New to the reloading fun, just .45 acp so far. OK folks I'll clean up the tube and primer bar & add a .45 shell to the knob. Thanks I'll report back what I find.

  14. Hi folks, Basicly been running my 550 problem free [except for the cost of bullets] other than I have been getting 2-3 (per 100) primers stuck sideways in the case when I go to seat them. (using once shot brass) What am I doing wrong?
  15. Be sure not to turn the knurled knob on top of the primer feed tube down tight. It should just touch the inside tube. If it's too tight the primers will not feed. There is a reason that I know this information.
  16. If you're shopping Cabela's be sure to use their Club card. You get 5% of the total purchase to be used to purchase goods from them in the future. Right now they are running a special IIRC 3X the normal points, so a 15% discount so to speak. Also their shipping maxes out on $$$ spent. So shipping on 3K .45 was $10 or $12.
