Ideas for Homemade Stands for Steel Plates
-JQ- replied to JPT's topic in Target & Prop Design and Construction
what about 2 sawhorses with a 2x4 clamped across the two?? They'd be somewhat disposable or should say re-buildable. I've never done it but since metal fab seems to be out it might be a cheap option... just a thought -
spiders...I know I told you this before but...I hate spiders

Flex- Which weekend is Raynors? Any advice on local motels or camping? I'm leaning toward the camping angle for the Saturday night before the match and after the instruction. TIA

Lead Exposure - What is it, how much, what to do, etc.

^^Obviously the lower the better. Prob your MD is best to tell you about your number as everyone process it out a little different, metabolic rate, etc etc...but congrats on the big reduction. Bill - I'm glad to see your chelation is working...that can sometimes be a mixed bag but is the best option for blood/lead reduction if available. Was is prescribed by your doc? I have a friend who gets it done regularly for general health. Prevention and Hygeine is most important -

maybe these are also meant to replace the stewardess call button, too...hmmmm

and I bet when that rains down on you and your field, you're not too concerned with the math. Those things are awesome!! 6000 rds per minute = $3000 per minute...plus or minus a few cents

Just found this one from the Washington Times... How about a bracelet that every airline traveler must wear which has personal ID info, GPS tracking of you and your bags, OH and can shock you into submission should "someone" decide you need it... Are YOU KIDDING ME? Read it yourself... http://www.washingtontimes.com/weblogs/avi...h-your-peanuts/ Here's the product video...skip over to about 3:20 to get details of the product... http://www.lamperdlesslethal.com/video_gal....flv&title= I think I'll go out for some fresh air now...grrrr

I didn't shoot open but I shot the IN sectional and had my share of mag probs too. I chalked it up to dirty mags inside and out...IIRC is was massive heat, high humidity and very dusty. I should have cleaned them a few times during the match. On another post someone suggested wiping mags down with silicone cloth and I used that trick this past weekend and had no issues. Again...not an open shooter but I never had any issues with Wilson mags until that day...and not since. ymmv

After our match yesterday I relaized I left my sunroof all the way open..."not worried about the shooters here"...should have been worried about the 15 minute downpour....doh...it didn't even sink in when I saw all the little dots all over my phone when I got back in..."why is the junk in my front seat wet??"...I guess I'm not just a slow shooter... Hindsight...the purest form of Zen...

I've had great luck with www.hostmysite.com Reasonable rates on hosting and domains (domains free somehow but I don't recall plan) They also have a"site builder" with templates. I haven't used the templates but they look nice. The BEST thing is that I have ALWAYS got to speak with a person right away and that person is usually the one who can answer whatever probs I've called about...GREAT CS!

I told them to treat it like it was their own...so we will see how it comes back...Scott says he likes swiss cheese so the slide may also get some attention. :-) I'm sure it will rock no matter which way the decide to go...I must admit...I like the look fluted I'll be sure to post pics when complete...I bought one of Yamil's wide angle lens and I'm snapping everything in sight...

This would be for a pistol. My Sig X5 comp is at Gray Guns getting "some" work performed. One of the things they offered to me was fluting the barrel. I've always thought they looked cool but wasn't sure what the "real" reasoning was. They are also doing their complete "lightening" package + they are doing their reliability package, and warren tactical/dawson sights, etc. I'm not too worried about them harming the barrel as they guarantee their work for life and they are all competitive shooters too. So they know what I need to acheive better than I do probably. The wait is killing me...and it hasn't been that long really when compared to the multi-year wait of some...I'll never have the patience to order a Randall knife either...

I was just wondering the main reason for fluting barrels...cooling-thermal, rigidity, cool-ness, weight... Any arguement against doing it? Thanks

Smart wool here too. They have various weights and lengths for about every activity and personality They proved their value to me one winter when I put my entire foot through the ice...just enough to dunk that shoe in the icy water. My foot never got cold honest...a bit uncomfortable due to wet but the temp was in the 20's...they will always get my vote. But I do like some fresh cotton socks for after the match...hmmmm

This is not my club...yet...but I got the info yesterday. Match with lots of trigger time this Sunday... Shooters; This weekends match will sound like fireworks. A 24 round classifier and 3 30 round stages will be included. The side match is rifle. As usual , we need set up help at 9 AM Saturday, please come if at all possible. Dave I think I'll take the challenge and shoot SS...'cause I love them mag changes. I think I'll also be shooting minor in rifle match No clones this time for me...the real HK is coming back out to play. If any of you KY guys want to come up...pm me I and can send link to map...nevermind here is the link...pm with questions, etc http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&...149689&z=13 The match is on brown Road just about 2 miles north of town...look for small Izaac Walton sign on left in bend of road just after passing farm with white fence on the right side of road. This seems like a good way to show our Patriotism if you ask me...
