  1. Too much work for already overworked staff for no payback.
  2. Not my design. Give me a call and I can explain the fine points
  3. If you're changing the function of the gun, not so good." That feels (?) like it would leave a lot of room for improvements (such as your street/duty/carry trigger jobs being totally legal in the rules). Nope, if you improve the travel of the trigger and the reset, and that is what most of the folks who get carry triggers on XD's want. Our parts just take out slop of the factory tolerances and make the parts from higher quality materials.
  4. I only got to see it in pieces when we DiamondBLACK'd it. But I can't wait to shoot it.
  5. How long have Ghost parts been used in Production Glocks? They were good to go from day one. CZ incorporated Angus's parts into their Shadow and now charge a bunch for it don't thy. Using G34 parts in G17's. Come on Bruce, better parts have always been part of the game in Production, why is it such a stretch now. I have no doubt that IDPA will get a boost in sponsorships if they make such a broad backwards step. I know that almost everyone of the regular shooters in our local club have mods to their guns that would be deemed the illegal for Production. Heck, it might even be the death of USPSA at our club, as we have a LOT of Production shooters, most all with mods that were legal when they had them done and would still be legal in IDPA. It would be easier and cheaper for them to change the ISPC match weekend to another IDPA match. I think that would makes sense for a lot of smaller clubs, and I say this as someone who greatly prefers the shooting style of IPSC.

  7. From what I can tell the don't have to do anything they don't want to with the sales levels they have right now R&R's Saiga conversion
  8. Bruce, Here is one for you (I know and respect Bruce for those that don't know.) I make fire control parts for the XD/XDM that improve the reliability of the pistol. I have many broken stock trigger bars from stock pistols from people, and they have no faith in the stock part if they have seen it fail. If I make a product that will improve reliability, why would I not also make it improve performance, and why would any one who wanted to improve reliability not also want improved performance? Who in their right mind would try to sell a product without optimizing performance while improving reliability. Now how this relates to the discussion: The BOD says from day one, improving reliability of the trigger is ok right? Isn't it given that if anyone is going to go through the cost of making parts to improve the reliability of the trigger, that they would not at the same time improve the performance of the trigger? I can not see any semi reasonable business do so, as making parts only for competition is not a good way to TRY to make a living. I know that may fly in the "evil empire", but it doesn't in the rest of the empire. I could lose 100% of our USPSA Production trigger work tomorrow and it would be a blip on the radar compared to what the non competition shooting folks in the real world are doing to their guns. Getting lost in the bubble that is competition shooting would be a real shame IMO.
  9. Dave's Metal Works Dave@Davesmetalworks.com He is pretty close to you.
  10. Nice little 22's. I love the "tactical" Stevens How do you like the little GSG?
  11. Supposedly a dog's hearing is so good they can tell what you car sound like, so they don't emergency bark when you arrive in your car. We have a nervous dog and she barks at everything, which is cool except we have a 7 month old that is often sleeping when she goes off. Lots of good ideas in this thread.
  12. If someone is trying to break in your door, wouldn't it be better to have a wood door, so you can shoot through the door before they get in? Once upon a time I designed hurricane proof patio doors, and the hardest doors to destroy by large pressure forces (way more than any human could ever exert) were solid core wood doors with a solid piece or laminated glass. Not the best for privacy in a bedroom, but they are very strong. Add a deadbolt and manual throw bolts at the top of the frame and bottom (ceiling and floor) and they aren't getting in before you can get your shotty. A good pair or throw bolts greatly increase the "hard to get through" factor. I also had to shoot these with 2x4's going 70 miles per hour and they took three impacts and were still able to withstand hurricane forces.
