  1. Some of them cost $400 just to fit, as that was sort of my thinking also before I looked into it. I am glad I found the Surefire plugs though, because they come in small (which fit my 3 year old) medium (fits my wife) and large, which I am using.
  2. Do you have 3K to spend, as that is the ballpark for the good ones. That is why I'm stocking with the Surefire plugs with my Sordins, for now.
  3. +1 I have all his books, and I relate to many of his stories.
  4. .5" flip isn't that much, and the dot shouldn't leave the screen. Just pounding the heck out of the trigger it is hard to tell much, I would think you would get much better feedback from video of shooting targets for A's.
  5. I don't make a magwell, so I'm not sure why you got that impression. I thought Rich only made a USPSA Limited magwell and not one that worked for IDPA also. I've sent more than a few folks to him for the Limited type of a mag well. ChrisW, since the magwells extend the length of the grip, you typically need a bump or base pad to extend the length of the magazine to seat it easily.
  6. Lots of folks can work on them, it is not a small elite bunch of companies.
  7. WTF? Are you smokin' crack or something? I have no reason to hate on Rich.
  8. How far from he bottom of a stock mag to the bottom of the mag well?
  9. The 1050 and super 1050 prime on the down stroke and have a swagger.
  10. Do you have any picts with an IDPA legal mag in the well?
  11. Does that fit the IDPA box Rich?
  12. Not Production legal, but the Pistol Gear Patriot and Operator are IDPA legal.
  13. I'll make any one you get black (no charge) if you send it up here.
  14. Just trying to help give you a solid par time, not trying to offend. If you are 1 second out of the holster with A's, move on, as that is all you need. Sure you could push for .8, but with a .5 sec -1 penalty, you will lose over all. Not a lot of draws in IDPA (or IPSC) are straight to a target anyway.
  15. If you have a 1 sec draw, the drill should be able to be done in the 1.6 seconds range and from concealment and a 1.5 sec draw it should be in the 2.1 range. Most people who are learning rush the draw and can't shoot the splits and transitions because they draw ONLY for speed and not for good form/technique.
  16. Every C hit means you must shoot the shot 20% faster just to be equal with the A hit scoring wise if you are shooting major, 40% if you are shooting minor.
  17. They are stiff, so they don't twist as much as a wilderness type belt.
  18. Mine aren't. They are 1/4" (4/16") I don't think you could get the inner belt in also unless you have velcro belt llops that you can undo.
  19. I run the outer belt through the loops for IDPA.
  20. He said he was shooting a Springfield from their custom shop. Yes, it was. He couldn't have practiced with it too much before the match either, since it was just pieces not too long ago. Props to Nil for a last ditch effort to even make the match and 3rd overall and on a non "super squad." I sure hope someone comes a long who can afford to give him the sponsorship it takes to fully develop his potential.
  21. Since the slide cycles in about .06-.08 sec your front sight should be down in about the same amount of time. My guess, is that you don't need your sight down faster, your grip or vision needs work. A heavy gun will shoot softer, but takes more energy to start and stop (ie transitions) but your size and strength will dictate if that matters to you. If you are small a heavy gun might just plain make the gun easier to shoot. If you are hulkish, it is a moot point as the added weight or recoil are proportionally smaller.
  22. +1 Finer blast media comes out of the case nicely and is cost effective.
  23. If they aren't ready, bump them down in the order and ask for a shooter who is ready to shoot.
  24. We have a newly designed 9mm XD trigger spring, just contact us and we will replace yours. 541-480-5546
