  1. Snowflake, good to know you hate PVD. How many guns have you built and used it on? I guess you should try consulting for all the high end shops who are apparently stupid on the subject. Nitride isn't appropriate for most of the high end guns we coat. We will no longer be using Ionbond for PVD (huge price hike) but are looking at a couple other vendors. PS. we know it isn't the best for soft materials, but that isn't what we coat for the most part.
  2. You do understand that this is PVD and is being by many of the gun manufacturers, cutting tool, and engine parts manufactures? It is applied at 300-350.

  4. We made our design so that you don't have to machine the grip, just trim the backstrap insert.
  5. Do you know which division you want to shoot?
  6. We have done thousands with our special vise and a steel punch. I milled a few stubborn early ones before I built the vise jaws.
  7. Unless it is jacked up, the gun should be able to hold the Upper A zone box at 17 easily.
  8. So in other words...^^^that sight will work with this rear..http://shop.springerprecision.com/product.sc?productId=82&categoryId=36 Yes, we list what goes together because people don't know what heights they need.
  9. Yes, that sight will work with a .125 wide front.http://shop.springerprecision.com/product.sc?productId=134&categoryId=36
  10. http://shop.springerprecision.com/category.sc?categoryId=36 Go with the .125 wide front and you are good to go.
  11. We don't have a drop in kit. All of our kits require fitting. We take a very different approach and we took into account upgrading the key components and not just reducing trigger pull weight and travel.
  12. There should be no need to break in the springs. I do not use the Wolff striker springs, I use our extra power striker springs.
  13. We shoot 132-135 with the 14# spring. If you want to push lower power factors and you don't hold the gun strong enough to cycle it, we suggest using a 1911 style guide rod that we make and as low as a 11# recoil spring. This is the setup my wife uses because she doesn't hold the gun as strongly and has much less mass.
  14. Yes, they follower works with the 9 or 40. in the 170mm. They hold 26 .40 rounds, 29 9mm rounds.
  15. The issues with that is dropping them in places that have mud and other debris that could fill the hole and prevent removal. We do have the CZ 17 round CZ75 mags on the list for 140's. We are working through many projects, so I can't give an exact time they will be done, but they are getting closer to the top of the list.
  16. +3 with the stock setup, +4 with the Grams follower. Several shooters that I know are using the CZC magwells. The main improvement we heard from customers is that some other pads come off unintentionally. The method we use is a compromise between ease of use and security. With the screw, you just need to turn it a turn or two and it is free to remove.
  17. We are making XDM ESP magwells right now. I was thinking about making a few 1 3/8" wide for CCP. Is there some more interest?
  18. Rich has you covered. Good to know Rich, I'll send folks your way when they ask for them.
  19. If you don't think I explained in extensive detail at this point, then I give up. The first contact did not satisfy your inquiry or give you the detail requested as it was the first time he was asked the question, so I have spent my time trying to do so. He now knows how to answer any such inquires.
  20. We have .25 and .375 versions http://shop.springerprecision.com/category.sc?categoryId=41
