  1. Because there is a spring in there that pushes on your hammer strut and it moves when the sear releases the hammer.
  2. Of course the mag bodies will fit, but the feed lips on the 40 are wider. You will have to adjust the feed lips to assure reliability, so you are better off using the proper mags.
  3. Kits are fine, for the best results, you'll want to send it in.
  4. Time for new magazine springs, The follower presses up the release when it is out of bullets.
  5. For Production, the one that fits you the best. The standard XD Tactical is as good as the Mod 2 unless you want the styling of the Mod 2. You can get everything you need for at www.springerprecision.com
  6. Yes, we have those mounts. springerprecision.com
  7. I am going to start retrofitting slides for the OSP. Just need to make the adapter plates since you can't buy slides.
  8. As previously stated, most of the XD parts work with the Mod 2. We have pretty much anything you could want for the XD line. springerprecision.com
  9. We are working on replicating the OSP on the factory slides also, but we can install the dovetail mount much cheaper.
  10. If you stick with a load, probably not, if you like to tinker with loads and bullet weights, it is handy.
  11. Sales on our after market parts hasn't slowed on them much, so I'm not sure that your premise is all that accurate. The "new" thing will get more press and forum hits, but it seems a lot of people are still buying and using them.
  12. Not all SWC profiles are equal. Some are very un-reliable.
  13. You can't accurately machine test these polymer guns, they just don't lend themselves to it (as the thread explains in detail) that is why we have to rely on our skill at fitting parts and our ability to shoot groups. Our customers by in large understand this is what we do day in and day out and fit hundred of barrels every year. We have had only a handful that want a guarantee, and none that want to pay for the added cost of before and after testing, as that is the only way to know the exact percentage of improvement.
  14. They are drop down options under NAME and NUMBERING. if you have any questions when ordering, please call the shop at 541-480-5546

  16. Yes, they are on the production schedule.
  17. Correct, they were made to solve that common issue.
  18. We port on request, but comps work much better than porting so we sell a lot more of those.
  19. Since when? The 5.25 uses a totally different rear sight and I've been trying to get Dave to make them for years. Springfield would be your best bet for the replacement sight unless you ask the original owner if they have it still.
