Definitely try Dan at D2 Customs. He is great at doing this kind of work for people.

Another vote for D2 Customs. I have several of Dan’s open guns, and they all run fantastic, they were made in a very good timeframe, all 2 months or less, fantastic, fair pricing, all top quality parts. He will make them however you want, with whatever parts you want. In addition, you can send it to him every year in the off season for free inspection and cleaning. Even if you plan to use the gun as a backup (which you probably won’t once you get it in your hands), this is a very viable option while waiting for something else like an Infinity, EMG, etc.

I’m thinking it’s going to be Springer basepads with 17 round mags.

For the OWB I like Long’s Shadow Holsters, especially for holsters with retention.

This is the kind of grip we used to use back in the day before steel grips. There’s also a smal hands grip reduction option. https://www.extremeshooters.com/extreme-shooters-sti-2011-dvc-dragon-scales-silver-purple-grip

Nothing touches this slide except extra virgin olive oil.

I had to oil it a little to get it to freely roll. Little metal shavings also find their way in there and restrict the wheel sometimes.

It’s worth the wait. Also, you don’t know for a fact that it is he personally who is posting on Instagram, so don’t make assumptions and spread potentially false information if you don’t know that for a fact. He could have someone else helping with the social media stuff.

I have about 50 MBX mags for 2011s that I’ve been using for about 3 years and have never had that problem.

Sounds like it’s time to trade the parrot for a shadow 2 and go to carry optics!
-
I have one. Same experience. It sits in my basement in the box with the other crappy optics.

Best to just call or CZ Custom and ask Stuart Wong (he’s already replied in this thread once) or email him, they can do the trigger work for you while it’s in the shop. They can also probably send it out for DLC coating or hard chrome too if you want, especially after the slide is cut.

The tungsten one requires fitting and most likely will not just drop right in.
-
Probably just because it is new. Snap caps don’t feed like real ammo does. I personally try not to drop the slide with a snap cap because of that. I also try not to drop the slide without a magazine and a dummy round (actual ammo with no primer or powder). I personally use that lever mainly just to hold the slide open to inspect or work on the gun, I don’t use it really to close the slide ever unless I have to one handed for some reason which really doesn’t come up very often.

That’s a smokin deal, dude. Enjoy!

I did pick it up and dry fire it a little bit the other day though and man the trigger is nice.

I still haven’t shot mine yet

There’s a difference in magazine dimension for IPSC vs USPSA. I don’t think the Atlas mags are for IPSC.

Sounds like an awesome experience, haha

I’m leaning towards getting a Glock 34 mos. I’m just afraid I’ll regret not saving a little more and getting a shadow 2.
If this is true, just wait for the shadow 2.

If you want a gun that is blingy get an SV. If you want a gun that runs great, won’t break the bank, and can ship to you next week call D2 Customs.

I was using them in a Gen 3 G34. I don’t even own a gen 4 or gen 5 Glock, I came to my senses before that (just joking)

The mags also go in and out of mag pouches on the belt a lot easier than the plastic mags.
