Why do you feel that the 650 is OK? I have a 650 now, but loaded on a 550 for a while, and I feel that the 650 is far better for volume reloading. Given the choice I do not see why you would pick the 550 unless you did small batches for benchrest shooting or something similar. I am curious as to your opinion.

Thanks for the advice, I wil change followers and see if I can get that extra round in. I have thought about switchintg to limited, but that would be too easy.

I have a .45 cal STI, and would like to know what the best mag capacity I can expect out of it, and how to get there. I am using 140mm with dawson pads, and factory followers. Most I can get is 14, would like to know if I can do better. I know I need a .40 cal, I am saving for a Fatfree 6in, but for now I will have to keep shooting the .45. Thanks for any advice.

I am new to this forum, but I have been loading on a 650 for about 2.5 years, it is my first reloader, and I would not trade it for anything. after my first week, I was cranking out around 600 rounds an hour for me and a couple of other shooters. after you get the setup fiqured out the thing is a snap to use.
