Put together a H-A top end and target 1911 bottom end recently.Insatllation was easy and with simple shims and minor hand fitting the barrel locked solidly to frame with no V or H play. The H-A unit is a Lever Delayed Blow Back conversion which allows the use of LSWC with out interference with the delay blow back process.Fit,finish, quality, design features and functioning are very impressive. The barrel is made by BarSto and is a match bull bbl, solidly locked to 1911 frame and is free floating.Right side ejection(like 1911)is reliable and predictable.Balance seems like a 1911 with a rib installed on it.Cyclical action is very fast and the mass involved is less than 1911 pistol.Shooting impressions:due to reduced mass- apparent recoil seems to be less, muzzle flip is less and rotational torque is less.Shot recovery is faster and inherent accuracy is a benefit.Rear sight is target adjustable, front sight is combat type which I don't like.I sent dust cover to Hogue-Machine to exchange front sight for a blade front sight.Found person involved with H-A unit very helpful and cooperative.Unit comes with a removable picatinny rail and twin slide rackers.I fired off hand using 200 various shaped LSWC- no issues at all.Seemed to me accuracy was spot on.Attached 2-6X scope and along with sand bags did accuracy test at 25 yards,FOR TRENDS ONLY!!.Did not do load development-used 4.1g/BE-3.9g/N310 only(185gr/200gr cast and swaged). Bullets produced by Mihec,Accurate Mold Co.and Saeco molds had an edge over 185gr bullets.Flat base bullets seemed excellent-All groups, while inconclusive,at 25 yards, averaged .6" to 1.3"/c-c.Will do further testing using 200 gr bullets, carefully weighed, and visually checked along with load development using BE,N310 and Clays powder at 50 yards using scope/bags and finally Ransom Rest.Hope this info is benificial to some one.Cheers http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j359/ernierod1/H-A3.jpg
