  1. I was able to find a TS2 fixed sight from X-Ray parts in Italy and got it in only 5 days. Very slick. No one had them in the States, that I could find. The reason I wanted a fixed rear is I’ve broken two adjustables on the .40 TSO. Also, it needed to be the TS2 factory rear because of the aftermarket hammer profile. On my TSO, I put in an Apex Tactical hammer and sear which works great but the hammer has a different height and profile than factory. So it would hit the CZC fixed rear that I tried. Rather than trying to perform additional fitting of the CZC rear, I wanted the easiest option as I needed to replace the sight on three guns. I do like the CZC fixed and with stock hammers, would have went that route. The TS2 fixed rear is very close in profile to the TSO adjustable and shouldn’t need a different front sight. Notch width is the same as far as I can tell, I did’t measure them. So I’m very happy with the new sight. I got three TS2 fixed rear sights including shipping for $151. Factory adjustables are $100 and the CZC fixed is $65. I wanted the robustness of a fixed rear.
  2. JM Custom Kydex or Milt Sparks Summer Special 2 for leather.
  3. I’m glad I found this thread. I have a similar issue, I think mine is amplified by cutting the dust cover to increase the slide travel. I will get those spots machined down and smooth the dimples made in the barrel hood.
  4. I use an Apex Tactical hammer and sear that bumped up the weight slightly. The other thing I did was put a flat faced Shadow 2 trigger in, the Cajun Gun Works floating trigger pin and then used a factory TSO trigger spring and a CGW reduced power trigger return spring for a Shadow 2. Had to trim the spring slightly but it’s about 4lbs now. The Shadow 2 trigger return spring holds the floating trigger pin in so it doesn’t need to be loctited in. I have a few thousand rounds on it and no issues.
  5. On an SP-01 that I have, the front of the left grip panel pulls away fro the frame when installed. Then when gripped, it flexes back to the frame. It’s a little less than a business cards width of movement but it’s annoying and not proper. it does it both with the LOK grips and the new Henning grips, which makes me think the gun has a weird spot rather than the grips. The stock grips don’t do this but they are mor flexible I think. The same grips don’t move on a Shadow 2 frame.

    CZ TS 2

I want the fixed rear if it fits the TSO!
  7. I had primer swipe and a stove pipe with extended pin and factory spring or reduced firing pin spring. I haven’t used CCI primers, can’t get any. As for the hammer pins, they were snug enough to stay in on their own so I didn’t stake and have had no issues. I have many thousands of rounds on the Apex kits in the Shadow 2 and TSO all using Winchester primers. Factory firing pin and spring, 15lb hammer springs. Very nice. I have the same kit in a Shadow 2 that is still DA/SA and with either a 13 or 15lb hammer spring, factory firing pin and spring works perfectly as well. Winchester primers as well. I do t find the trigger too heavy but it has a nice break and easier to prep.
  8. 18 on left, CGW center and 19 on right.
  9. Will this work? Heavy spring from CZ Custom. https://czcustom.com/cz-75-trigger-return-spring-heavy.html
  10. Does it matter? I have two TSOs in 40. A 2018 and a 2019, at least the way I understand the markings in front of the triangle before the serial numbers. The rod in the 18 TSO is Shadow 2/SP01 length and can’t be seen from muzzle end as you can on the S2 and SP01. The rod in the 19 is about half inch longer and is visible from the muzzle. Both are SS, not plastic. I’ve had no issues from the 18, apart from a broken slide stop pin at about 15k rounds, and it shoots just fine. Totally reliable. It just struck me as odd, and OCD, I ordered a new SS guide rod from Cajun. It’s kinda in the middle for length. Thoughts? Both guns work fine and shoot accurately.
  11. After several thousand rounds, I’ve settled on the shorter length and 4.5gr of Sport Pistol. 180gr Blue Bullet 4.5gr Sport Pistol WSPP 1.125” COAL Mixed brass 173-175 PF Also, dumps brass nicely about 6-7’ away with a 14lb recoil and 15lb hammer spring.
  12. I’m working with the primer pro with V2 plate and Winchester small pistol primers. Spent probably 45 minutes fiddling with it. Broke out the pledge and sprayed it down. So far it’s working well. Slowish, but beats hunt and peck for me. Needs to have 200 primers or more in it for sure. I’ll be trying some CCI later. If I need to switch, I will. I do want to try a PAL for smaller loading sessions and as an option.
  13. I built a 2x6 bench with 4x4 legs and 2x6 frame. Two sheets of 3/4 ply glued and screwed. Lagged to the wall. It fits a 650 and RL1100 but may need more space for the AmmoBot. Next one will be one of these, or at least the top. https://www.uline.com/Product/Detail/H-1137-MAP/Industrial-Packing-Tables/Industrial-Packing-Table-72-x-30-Maple-Top-with-Rounded-Edge
  14. I tweaked the lead thread with a file and put some oil on it and ran it in. Works well now. Primer slide is working better, the knurled nut was to tight on top of the tube.
  15. Works great with Blue Bullets 40 caliber.
  16. I’m very interested in the primer slide polish. Out of 200 or so rounds I’ve had three not get primed. I too removed the ratchet. It seems common to do so. It’s loud and can make it hard to clear the press if there is an issue with the toolhead partway down.
  17. It’s probably not officially recommended to remove the ratchet but the noise and feel bug me. It’s been recommended a few places and if you have an issue, you can’t raise the toolhead to clear it. I had a primer end up sideways as something was out of adjustment. It prevented the toolhead from lowering all the way to be able to raise it back up and I couldn’t clear it.
  18. Got it running and it is worth every penny! I like the 650 I have but this priming on the downstroke is awesome. I plan to add an auto drive of some sort and then maybe add a CP2000. It was all setup from Dillon, dies, swage and primer depth. I tweaked the seating depth a touch and took off the ratchet. Put the bullet feeder on, the die was very hard to install. Fit fine on the 650 and the size die from the 650 threaded in just fine from the top and bottom. All good now. I only have one issue, I’ve had 3 out of 200 or so rounds end up not getting primed. Messy and wasteful. The primers find there way down to the bench so I think a slight tweak will get it. Any advice on adjusting or polishing the primer slide? I’ll check the upper knurled nut on the primer tube and I have a .45 case on the primer following rod. I’ll look at the feed tip and the other suggestions from here about the 1050 priming system but I’m not sure they’re the same. The important stuff. Ordered Feb 14, got it April 6 direct from Dillon. There is a number etched in the base, 0320 but I believe it’s a date not a serial number as a friend has one with 0320 as well. Both delivered this week.

    CZ TSO .40 OAL?

I load at 1.130 with a 180gr Blue Bullet, much longer and it won’t feed reliably. Over about 1.145 and a loaded round doesn’t eject well.
  20. I just spoke with LOK about that, he said just order Shadow 2 grips cut for the mag well. I put the LOK palm swells from my S2 on the TSO without the mag well and they fit fine. This will get you the thinner upper portion on the grips.
  21. I just picked up a P01 with the alloy frame, 91194 model with the NSN number. It needs some better sights, black rear and Tritium front. Any suggestions? I’ll be doing a little polish and springs but this will be a carry gun so not a lot. It shoots well now so I don’t need to do much.
  22. I put the DSPerman springs in all my CZ-75 based pistols. Well worth it.
  23. A couple matches now with chrono stages. I shot a match in Bozeman, MT and it was probably 70* and overcast. I was 178pf. At HiCap Nationals last month, probably mid 80*, I was 173pf. At home about 4,300’ and 60* I,m about 173pf as well. I’d have to check but I don’t have a lot of data at different temperatures. Chrono is set at 15’ at home. CZ TSO 40 180g Blue Bullet 4.6g Sport Pistol 1.130 COAL WSPP 173pf
  24. An old thread I know but here is my solution. I now have quite a few rounds through the Shadow 2 with the Apex action kit and I really like it. I’ve installed the same kit in a CZ TSO and it increased the trigger pull nicely. I’m using both the the sear and the hammer from the kit and it fits and functions fine with a few rounds so far. I may swap the stock TSO hammer back in and see how it mates with the Apex sear after this weekend. I’m using a CZ Custom safety and had to slightly relieve the safety where it contacts the sear but it works great now. The triggers in both the Shadow 2 that’s now SAO and the one in the CZ TSO are very similar in weight, judging by feel, not gauge. I’m very happy with the new set up in the TSO, and though it’s an additional $140, it’s well worth it.
