Awesome job Ben!
Good to finally meet you.

Does anyone know if the range will be open tomorrow?
And if so, how late?
I am driving up tomorrow, and would like to get out to the range to get the feel for things and look around.

+1 for Bladetech.
FWIW, I use comptac mag pouches and like them so much I've been thinking about trying their holster. I just can't see how anything can beat the DOH though...

I checked with Dave Thomas a few weeks ago.
It is ok to use the USPSA logo for PERSONAL use only. You just can't sell any items with the logo on it without permission.

+4 Shooters Connection.
No doubt the best.

Congrats Dave! Keep it up

Wow! Never saw that coming. I guess I'll wait...
-
Thanks man.
And thanks for all you've done by helping me get into the sport.
Hope to be pushing you in Production pretty soon.

Well, I wasn't sure if I should put this in Accomplishments or What I Like, but this weekend will be the one year mark for me shooting USPSA.
I have been around guns my whole life, but nothing even comes close to the enjoyment I have gotten out of competitive shooting. I have met so many great people, and have made a lot of good friends. My knowledge of firearms, reloading, ballistics and just about every aspect of the sport has increased tremendously thanks to all of the helpful people I have met.
Throughout my first year, I shot two majors, the Double Tap Championship where I placed first in Unclassified Limited, and the Texas Open Championship where I placed first in C Class Limited. I have shot numerous local matches with 5 different clubs, and made some great memories at every one of the matches I have participated in. I am also going to be shooting the 2008 LPR Nationals in 3 weeks. I can't wait!!
As of today, I am an A class Production shooter and B class Limited.
I absolutely love this sport and hope to be able to participate in it for a long time.
Thank you to USPSA and all of the people who have helped me along the way.
ETA: Thanks also to Brian for this incredible forum.

Front Sight. Other than that, I just read the BE forum.

That's what I say to myself everday....

Hat, even in hot weather. The band keeps out the sweat, the brim keeps out the brass, and the whole thing keeps off the sun.
+1. I sweat a lot, but the hat keeps most of the sweat off my face.
I also have a towel that I use to wipe the sweat off my face before it's my turn to shoot.

OK I'm a Bum
I did not make the announcement at the Alpha mike shoot Sunday. The wind picked up and was blowing walls and targets over and kept me busy. until I was way behind.
I will the message out on the club email.
Was thinking about this earlier today. Just wondering if anyone has reserved a class?

Any ideas where I may purchase some IPSC Metric 1/3 targets? Any help will be appreciated.

$15
Where are you getting mags for $15?
-
Thanks for the input everyone. I am going to shoot Production this month, and have already been working on reloading without the a magwell. There is a big difference without it, and I really have to focus when inserting the mag. From now on, I am going to shoot Limited without a magwell and see how it goes.
-
I'd add all that gear in on the gun in phases. If something fails, you will know it failed after adding "part X".
+1000. This would have saved me big in the long run. I spent a lot of time trying to get my 35 running.
-
Good for you Paul!
Good luck with everything, the results will come sooner than you think, just keep at it and stay motivated.

However, magwells are nice, IMHO. I use the THE brass, and I really like the shape of the grip with it.
My hand fits between the well and the beaverstub exactly, and I've never had any sort of binding problem with it.
Don't get me wrong, I love my magwell, it makes reloads so effortless and helps to keep my grip high on the gun.
I just don't want to use it if it would ever cause a problem, and in my case, it obviously was.

Very true, most matches do have 4 target arrays, so the extra 5 rounds would make a huge difference.
Do you use mag pouches that can adjust the angle, like CR etc.?
