Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. looks like i will be moving from west Texas to the st. Louis area , any help on uspsa/idpa/3 gun.. clubs in the area ...to join ...and help out setting up,pratice..etc. i have been a member and helped out here in Lubbock Texas for years setting up and helping put on matches and want to get back in the game asap after the move... Charles
  2. thanks to all the ro.s, scorekeepers, folks at the stat shack..lots of work putting on a match of that size and you all did a great job !!! also learned something....when you put a " saftey area" behind the "port-a-poddy" theres never a line to un-bag !!! lol not much dry firing going on there !! thanks again
  3. if you guys live in texas , this match and double tap are a must ! if your from out of state..come on down ...very well run. good mix of stages. i have shot this one for years and it is really awasome .. jimmy and artie, and the gang are some of the best folks ,and the town of breckenridge is a great place to relax ,good eats , nice weather, .. my 250 mile trip maybe short for some of ya, but the match is worth it !!!!! http://www.bulletworks.com/index.html ( just a post from a fan of the match !) charles k.
  4. j-ho !!!! you are not ever going to get to shoot at your own local club 3 gun unless you wear that hat !!! wear have you been hinding that thing ? congrats on your win, no surprize to the guys around here ! mark, i can not belive it, your stuff has always ran...what the %$#^ happen ????
  5. would be great to shoot an "AREA MATCH " have never gotten to, due to the drive , i hear great things about the the San Angelo club, keep us posted !!!!
  6. man makes me feel lazy when we set-up EL PREZ. for a stage.... ok, ok when i watch someone set-up EL PREZ
  7. "THE CAVE " ...well done guys, you folks at double tap have allways...allways put on a great match, and that is just way more than we could expect, thank -you. you must have a "great group of people" in that club my friend... .looking forward to it....see ya there robert....again my hats off to the the double tap gang !!!WOW"
  8. uspsa match's ? or idpa...? dawson, and grams are great. but watch your magwell, with a " ice " you have to run 140mm mag, or it will not seat.... ? if your shooting IDPA then is a diff. story...
  9. bud.. you know this game...got to have both !!!!
  10. no way man !!!! IT HAS TO BE 20, DONT YA THINK GUYS ?????? i mean CR is claming 21 ! and i saw manny run one last year...but a little more practice on re-loads sure would help...or less steel so i know my rd. count
  11. well, i may do a little more in the vice... there is a fine line , from 20 that will drop, to 20 that will run.. slide stop is cut, follower cut , and yep..there a little swollen, i have used the mic. on them and there out about .020ths or so, but %$#@ they run good !!! ha,ha.... ok a little " sti vice tune ' it is !!!!
  12. well, problem is, shooting down a 20 rd mag, with a match 'death grip " sometimes they hang for a sec, and i just remember seeing the old limcat brass ones, and thought now ...why not ?? shooting to 19 with the extra spring presser is cool, but in the dirt and blowing dust of texas..a little insurance against a " flat footed re-load would be nice " ..no ?
  13. GRAMS..... ALL THE WAY ..... ( bevan's) i can tell you this ,a new spring ,any brand spring needs to take a set( load it - 4 or 5 short to help keep the feed lips from spreading ) overnight, before use and it really helps...my 2cents
