Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Roger, I just skimmed thru it.. Didn't mean to share it excessively lol
  2. Here......Are Small Pistol Magnum & Small Rifle Primers Safe in 9mm? - YouTube
  3. I finally got a Gen 3 G20sf last week, just waiting on another powder hopper from Dillon. Out of the powders I have, I'm gonna start with Autocomp or PowerPistol. Only thing I'm short on is brass for it .
  4. What's the diameter of the projectile you're using? Could they be a "hair" fat??
  5. RL 550B Casefeeder: No Aluminum Roller Handle: Yes Experience: 25+ years Average Rounds/Hour, 400 but really don't push it. Average Rounds/Hour, Rifle: Never really timed .223/5.56 but will next time I remember back in the 90's when I first got this press I could get 500 rnds. per hr.
  6. Like someone above, I have two Thumblers tumblers: The first one has walnut for cleaning and the second (bigger one) has corncob for polishing.. I am curently using Dillon's case polish, going to change from Lyman CC media to the stuff at petco and I've heard Nu-Finish car polish (a couple capfuls) works great.. If anyone has anyother suggestions that would be appreciated.. I am trying to cut cost on cleaning.. Also these Thumblers Tumblers have been going non stop 24/7 for the last 8 months with maybe a day or two break and i've been using them since the early 90's, just stepped up production/shooting in the last 8 months.. Jeff
  7. It looks like I am going to try this.. http://www.sinclairintl.com/cgi-bin/catego...&type=store that was posted above. Sinclair stuf is usually high end. I have a large floor standing JET drill press that I have been using with a primer pocket uniforming tool and recently started using the Lee $10.00 case trimmer. The one from Sinclair (Kwik Case Trimmer) is going to get ordered tomorrow!!! It looks like I won't have to use a shell holder at all and I can add the other part (link wouldn't come up) that deburrs (and maybe chamfers) the case mouth, it looks like it's time to stick the flash hole deburring tool in there also... I recently accepted the fact that my RCBS $100.00 case trim pro setup is a POS, it's got an alignment issue as there is some play in the Ram (wasn't that way when it was new) and the allen set screws tend to move also, so the ram will scoot forward a few thou if I don't check each case and catch it. When it was new it would cut perpendicular to the axis of the casing and give a nice square cut, now I can measure a .308 casing with Mitatoyo digital calipers from one direction and now it reads anywhere from 2.000", turn the casing 90 degrees and it'll read 2.020" I don't think that does much for accuracy!! I think I'll send it back to RCBS and see if they'll replace it. I have been thinking about the Giraud also as I have around 10K of once fired 5.56/.223 ... I am tempted to have all that brass processed!!!! Thanks for the link to the Sinclair page, I thought I'd been all over their page but I guess not... Thanks again, Jeff
  8. I've been wanting to buy the Redding set for .308 I am having a hard time keeping runnout consistent at 1 to 2 thou with the RCBS dies, I can get lucky on a box of 20 and have about half with 2 thou runnout and the rest are up there around 5 thou! and the C.O.A.L is inconsistant, even if I measure from the Ogive.. but what can I say, I am using $40.00 dies... Are the Hornady dies as good as the Redding?? The only thing I've heard about them is: "the only difference is the visibility of the notches" Should I buck up and get the Redding set w/S bushings? or just get the Hornady dies? I want to get the Redding set!!! But is it worth it?? Jeff
