  1. Don't limit yourself to any one style. try to stay flexible; take the safety off whenever it's natural as you prepare to shoot. Most of the time I take it off safe as my hands come together, but there are plenty of times when you'll need to draw and engagestrong or weak hand and you'll have to take your safety off at what might seem "unnatural" but stay flexible
  2. There are a bunch of reasons, but I am a fan of Xbox. I have a droid, which is compatible over the network with my xbox. I like the games more, fable, gears of war, HALO all xbox exclusive. Xbox Live FPS's are MUCH more competitive than PS3 online. Faster networking (n vs g, as was already stated a few times). More people play xbox than ps3, which is probably why its more competitive. The only thing that xbox doesnt have is an integrated blu-ray player. It does have physically manageable memory as well, up to 250gb of hdd storage. And $60/year isnt even worth mentioning when looking at all the advantages. Also, kinect is rad. I've got one, and its lightyears ahead of any other motion sensor gaming technology. As far as RROD, it hardly ever happens with newer xboxs, but towel trick it and you are usually good to go at least for about 6months, then swap it back out. Hit me up on Xbox Live, Gamertag is: xBattleMechx happy gaming
  3. Vouch. this range is in a canyon, and designated target areas are kinda wherever most times.
  4. Way to go! Now you are a member of the #1 forum on earth. Delete all other accounts. Welcome
  5. I am thinking of doing forced induction after i get the rest of it built up. like that will be done after i get the motor built, i will probably run it a few thousand miles NA then turbo it. nice... can you pm me with some more info on your friend's shop? i'm seriously interested. /e Nice! congrats and welcome to the team!
  6. Will do! well, after a some consideration and some great advice from Hiro, I think i have the beginnings of a plan lol. after i put some miles on this engine, i wanna build a b16 for it. Its going to take a while to accumulate the parts, but only because i want to put the best aftermarket parts in it. built and tuned. I also wanna get it bar'd so that i am legal lol, but we'll see. thats the idea for now thought.
  7. Who knew? http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=66539 nice, redundant information safety layers... for the win!
  8. yeah. that car is not big enough for a grip of people lol. i'm surprised your friend even rode it in at all haha, let alone the hatch. the CRZ is intense. *DROOL* the 4th gen big brother of the crx.
  9. #1 is pedialyte. i drank this stuff when i wrestled and it's the absolute best thing you can drink besides water. the only downside is that you have to go the bathroom a lot if you drink a ton of it. other than that it's better than water. water bananas (potassium prevents cramps during rigorous exercise) beef jerky trail mix (because it's delicious) sandwiches for lunch or if i get really hungry.
  10. Mmm, nice. I spy ITB's. I might check some out when i swap this motor. Yeah this car gets raging mgp. like 40-45 even with my lack of experience driving manual lol. Haha, Everyone i know who gets rid of their crx is for a back seat to accomodate baby seats lol.
  11. I'm back, and I have a new goal. I want to be the youngest to hold a Grandmaster card in every division (6). I also wanna shoot like it... in every division. The start of a new journey: Mastering EVERYTHING. After I get this, I wanna do the same for rifle and shotgun. This is my purpose for existence.

  13. Let go. just let go of everything. Be completely aware of what is happening with no thought, judgment or expectation. Brian talks a lot about this in his book, and it is what helped me break through a bunch of stops i ran into while power-training. It is a tough concept to try to abandon the whole experience, but it is a necessary step to understanding what is going on and what needs to be done. I shoot for that feeling of excitement, and i had a really hard time letting it go, but that is what helped me push through to that next level in my performance. Once you get over it, you gain a new sense of excitement from performing how you know you can perform. /e very good post by the way. this is what a lot of shooting is to me.
  14. If you aren't allergic to imports, I'd say Honda civic, 92-95. You can get them for pennies, and the work you can do to them is insane. Click here for mind-blowing ricer action->
  15. I recently got a honda CRX. The addiction has begun. Here are some pics of it. Rebuilt SOHC ZC motor. Clean body and interior. Any other honda enthusiasts? MONEY SHOT
  16. IMHO, It depends on your preferences. For some, the CZ/EAA large frame is too large. I can't consistently actuate the thumb safety with a solid grip. Either one will work, but assuming your hand fits both, I prefer the S_I for open or limited. I like the option of a polymer grip for various weight preferences. Not to mention, there are a more places to get parts or work done to any 19-2011 style gun. I think there S_I's are more "customizable" if you will, as you can use a variety of calibers (reliably), balance points (front/mid/grip-heavy), optics, slide weights/lengths, comps, and triggers. All things considered, the guy who practices more will win, even if he's got a rusty pellet gun
  17. I agree however, finances limit me to making every purchase count haha. I posted the thread with the intention of hearing opinions for multi-purpose/survival battle rifles (assault rifles too I guess, I just like .308 haha). The zombies are for fun You never know what to expect in the post-apocalyptic wasteland.
  18. Duely noted. Thanks for the input. In regards to the M1A safety, I guess it's a function of conditioning. It seems that most of these rifles perform comparably, so maybe whatever you like? Keep your zombie killing rifle preferences coming!
  19. That is kinda what I had in mind, something along the lines of an M1A/M14/M21 (EBR: Is the aluminum/steel lower receiver of the M21 EBR available?), but I've also received some other legitimate suggestions including the FN FAL and the AR-10. What do you guys think?
  20. Alright everyone, I am looking for some opinions on a practical application battle rifle. Basically, what would you want to have if you had to kill zombies to survive, and why? Hit me.
  21. I also currently wear the M-frame and have been looking around a bit. What is it that you Rydon wearers like better than the Oakley's for those of you that have worn both? Also notice one report the opposite way. What didn't you like about the Rydon's compared to the Oakley's? Between my dad and I, we've broken probably 6 or more pairs of Oakleys. And they are too expensive to keep replacing because they are not made of NXT/ImpactX material. I have 3 pairs of Rudy Project's and they're just as strong and durable as the day I got them, and I use my glasses now more than ever. I value my eyesight to much to wear anything but Rudy Project ImpactX lenses to a range where shrapnel can shatter polcarbonate lenses (which has happened). Check this out: Genetyk Shooting Kit. Genetyk frames with 3 different lense styles: Photochromic ImpactX Red, Photochromic ImpactX Clear, and Laser Black. Both of the Photochromic ImpactX lenses are what use for shooting, since they are virtually indescructible, unscratchable, and clear as they come. I just broke too many polycarbonate lenses (and various Oakley's)... and then discovered Rudy Project's ImpactX lenses. If for whatever reason you accidentally drop you RP Impactx lenses in a compound miter saw, ship em back and they'll replace 'em. No other option for me.
