  1. It is not the Dillon it is the powder that you chose. Varget is a great powder and I use it for several loads. But no powder dropper is impervious to large stick powder making a bridge once in awhile. I also have a Harrell powder drop, The best made at over $300 just for the measure and guess what Varget will hang up there also. So either polish away or choose a different powder. Do you shoot all of your guns box stock?? Tweaking is part of the game, And there are many on the 1050s, You will soon find out.\ Hoofy gave you great advice and the place to solve your problem
  2. Song is Bullet with a name By Nonpoint
  3. Redding has been the STANDARD. Why would you want to look elsewhere??
  4. It is way too long. Never make it. The .223 barely has room on a RL1050, Must have a Super for anything longer than the .223

    My Dad......

Sweet Set up, You better get your Dad one hell of a Christmas present this year, ( like Maybe a new Blaster)
  6. Take a case to a grinder or cut it in half. I ground down some just until I got into the primer hole then put it on the press with the cut out facing out. You now have a perfect window to see to adjust the swager and back up die to optimum performance. I can post a picture if anyone needs to see to get what I mean.
  7. That don't look even close to 30 k of brass to me. How many 5 gallon buckets?
  8. I never did get to try one of those Angry sewing machines. I am Jealous, The HP to weight ratio is killer, and it must flick into corners like a feather. I raced Formula-USA on a FZR 1000 Battle tank back in 1990-1991 then tried 600 super sport class on a jixer what a difference in the twisties. I can only imagine the TZ. Have not even been back on a bike since 1996, except to take a quick spin on my friends new Ducati he got while I was back visiting in AZ. I miss it but don't miss the crashes or the cost of tires every other weekend. People think ammo is expensive
  9. Worse Yet is the ones who keep shooting a classifier until they get a good score to turn in. Which results in a lot of paper A or M class shooters that cant back it up at a match. I stink and I know I stink my scores show it. Although if I ever practiced I might get a little better
  10. I liked the stages in the French video. Climbing over stuff and on ramps and such. Seems like here we can't get away with that due to the fear of liability and other reasons. I wonder if they had anyone fall or trip. I know it is suppose to be a shooting contest not obstacle course but It sure makes a stage exciting. I am sure she will get her chance against Julie soon, We'll she how she fairs, My money so far is still on Juile...
  11. What exactly are you looking for. What caliber I mean, I have 3 of them and 1 super 1050, I think I might be better off with 2 of each so I may have one for sale.
  12. It works flawlessly, There wasn't much interest in this thread so I let it go. Much taller than the pistol version but not too tall. Lots of machine work done to the accumulator on the rifle model. I will never have to handle those tiny little bullets again. I will try to get some photos if anyone really needs to see them.
  13. I find the opposite, I use it in 9mm under a heavy 147 grn bullet at 133 p.f. and also in .40 under a 180 grn bullet minor load at 148 p.f. It is clean soft and very consistent over the chrono. I tried it in .45acp and it sucked, by the time I got it up to 165 P.f. the recoil was so bad and harsh with enough muzzle jump to be a 44 mag. Just can't beat straight Clays for .45acp
  14. I use N320 and Montana Gold 180's. Also used zero's with good results. I think the 320 will do you great and much cleaner than Tightgroup IMO. Try 4.0 grns N320 at 1.12 Oal should be around 158 Power factor But a better load is 4.7 grns of Hodg U-Clays at 1.12 Oal. around 162 power factor and very clean and nice feel
  15. Just watched the Brock Lesnar fight on u tube. He looks very new and unexperienced in MMA his opponent Kim looks ever worse, That was the worst tap out ever, He should go back to the girls locker room, As ground and pound goes he wasn't getting a real hard beating when he tapped.
  16. Did not know there was a Special forces sniper school. 22 years ago when I went through it for the 2/75 in the Army it was given at Quantico (sp?) By the Marine Corps. There was everything from National Guard to CIA all in the same Class, Even had 2 Seals in it. I see now the Army has its own course I don't know exactly how long they have been doing it but it has to be 10-12 years at Least.
  17. Lately I have been shooting everything but Ipsc. Still shoot long range rifle but now losing my spot causes me to have to drive 3 1/2 hours one way to get 1000 yards, So that has slowed due to time and fuel costs. Used to have 3000 plus in a sand quarry like 30 Min's from the house. Just started shooting IDPA about 3-4 club matches so far. I also just recently got back in to shooting a Bow and back into 3-d shooting after like a 15 year break, Got all brand new stuff, 07 Hoyt 38 Ultra, Carbon express Maxima's etc. And have started shooting trap again for the last year.
  18. Oh that's not Good man, I hope the find their way back to where they are supposed to be going.
  19. Yes you can over swage. Be careful if your primers are too loose they will blow out of the case and will end up stuck in your trigger asm. hot loads and loose primer pockets are a bad mix. I zeroed a stage thanks to a primer stuck in my trigger. I took a piece of brass and took it to a belt sander made a cut away section so I could see with my eyes how deep I was setting the swage rod on the 1050. I am sure you could do the same on the swage 600
  20. Just got my Second Kiss bullet feeder in today. This one is for the .223 Anybody else get one in .223 yet? Did you run into any problems with the little bullets yet. I can't wait to get some time to get down stairs and get it set up. Only took like 10 days total time to get it. much faster than the first one I ordered. Thanks Roger, I can't wait for the .308 version,
  21. I have seen someone have his machine set up that way before. But I don't know how the results were though, Sorry. I myself used a empty toolhead and just ran 10k of brass through the trimmer. Then I have to take it to the Trim mate to do some chamfering and deburing. I tried to load just after a fresh trim, But the edges were so square and sharp it would scrape copper jacket off. Just have to chamfer it no other way around it yet. But I am all ears if someone has a idea.
  22. I found Imr 4895 and H4895 to be very close to each other over my Olher 35p chrono. I dint remember exactly with out going to look it up but it was like 60 fps difference with same charge weight. What have you experienced? I may go back and do more testing now I am curious.
  23. I feel if the match were pushed back until the end of May up there, It would be a lot better. Or call it a tactical challenge instead of a Uspsa style rifle match. Tactical challenge anything goes. Deal with it. Rifle match should be a shooting contest not hampered by hazardous conditions. It is a nice set up and the crew really puts a lot into their match and I Thank and applaud them for this. But rain every year blows. Miq Can not view your video. it says it is a private video and requires a Friend invite.
  24. Well we got pounded with rain at a biblical rate down here. How bad was it up there in Maine? May have bail out, I already lost one of my 3 man crew (bailed out). So much for splitting fuel expenses.
