  2. Well I went out and chsamfered the mouths slightly. Didn't see any burrs. Cases still very hard to work. I polished the inside of the cases and that helped some. Still ended up running them thru the press five times in order to get them to size like once fired brass. Could be that the +p brass is thicker at the neck as well as the head. Thanks for the help.
  3. I am loading some new 45acp +p Starline brass. And I've decided to run it through the press a couple of times before actually loading it. I've lubed it with Dillon case lube, this brass is really hard to size. And I could load it without running it through twice, but it just takes a lot of effort to bring the turret back down off of the powder dispenser/case mouth sizer. I've reloaded plenty of used brass with no problems. I'm wondering if I should tumble the new brass. Seems silly but maybe it would help. Any ideas??? Thanks Don
  4. Hello everyone: I'm new to this forum. I've been reading everything I can find here lately, I just haven't been posting. The board is set up so well that a person can usually find the info they are looking for by searching. I must say this is a really great board. I recently bought a 650 with all the bell and whistles from BE and I'm really glad I finally got it. I cant say enough good things about the Dillon Equipment and BE'S attention to detail. I had reloaded some about 20 years ago on a little sigle stage RCBS press so I'm not a complete newbe when it come to reloading. I was wondering if anyone has any opinions as to the use of Ramshot Enforcer. I have done a good bit of research on this powder and I'm quite amazed at the low pressure and velocity capabilities of this powder, in 45acp. The only negative issues on this powder I can see is that it takes a large volume of powder to fill the case in order to get good defense load type velocities. The other thing I see is it might be prudent to use magnum primers instead of standard primers. I have pretty much figured out that there are better powders out ther for target shooting. I'm just looking for a good powder that offers high velocity, and low pressure for a Defense/ Hunting type load. Data is very limited for this powder so maybe it fell out of favor with reloaders for some reason I haven't been able to find. Thanks Don
