Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Hi, I'd like the thank everyone for the feedback on this. I'll incorporate these ideas into my reloading. The two I hadn't thought about at all were: Powder bar return spring Check primer seating depth Thanks again. Cheers, Achint
  2. Hi, Thanks for the great info. I'll get the aquarium pump. I'm using Vihta Vouri N320 and it seems to meter well. Cheers, Achint
  3. Hi, I'm new to reloading and started with a Dillon RL550B. I am currently only loading one caliber (9x19 mm - minor) and have everything setup the way I want. The Dillon dies are locked into place with the supplied lock rings. I don't remove the toolhead or make any other changes to the setup, other than filling the powder and primer tubes in place. How often should I verify the powder charge and OAL+crimp in order to make sure things are still adjusted properly ? For dimensional checks, I case gauge the ammo and measure a round about every 100 rounds or so. I am more curious about the frequency of the verification of the powder charge. Thanks. Cheers, Achint
  4. Thank You. Very much appreciated. Cheers, Achint
  5. Thank You. Very much appreciated. Cheers, Achint
  6. Hi, If someone has access to this bullet, could you please reach for your calipers and let me know the length of the bullet (projectile). I've spent some time on google and can't seem to find an answer to this. Thanks. Cheers, Achint PS: Sorry about the multiple posts

  8. Quite a few people. Some I've had the pleasure to ask first hand are Angus Hobdell and Bruce Gray. Details can be found here.
  9. Hi, How do you download the video to your local disk so that you can view it offline ? Knowing me there is an obvious "Save to Disk" button somewhere I can't see Cheers, Achint
  10. Hi, The seeing double is natural is comes from stereo vision and parallax. The number and clarity of double images depends on alignment and focus. With the help of a number of poeple, I wrote some articles on this that you may find useful. Training to shoot with both eyes open Eye Alignment and Eye Focus Stereo Vision Hope they help. Cheers, Achint
  11. Here is a video with Bruce Gray talking about reloading Bruce Gray Reloading video
  12. They frown on that at work. Especially in the Great Frozen North (Canada) The nice thing about the trainers is that there are a couple sitting on the desk at work and I can grab them whenever I have time, or am on a call etc. Cheers, Achint
  13. I've had great luck with grip trainers that allow you to use the fingers individually, like the Grip Master. My all time favorite would have to be the donut. Compress the donut with all the finger except the trigger finger and attempt to move the trigger finger in a "clean" motion with the donut compressed. In addition I picked up a work out from Matt Burkett's Practical Shooting Radio that has worked extremely well for me. It's described here. http://teppoudo.org/8-grip-pressure Hope this helps. Cheers, Achint
  14. Hi, I've got issues with double vision as well and have been working on them for the past few months. The issue is that I see two targets when I focus on the gun and two guns, when I focus on the target. The image below (from GlockTalk.com) is a good illustration of what I see. From my research it seems that the double images are created by parallax and where the eyes are actually aligned (independently of where they are focused). For most people the point of alignment is also the point of focus. I've been maintaining an online journal and documented some of this at: Eye Alignment and Eye Focus I've also documented the practice I've been doing at: Training to shoot with both eyes open I don't wear glasses and I'm not sure how this would work with glasses, but I hope it's of help. I've had good luck at under 20 yards and have noticed an dramatic improvement. Comments from the more experienced members would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Cheers, Achint
