From what I can tell they are not.

I've fitted a few ambi safeties over the years, my question or request for comment (RFC) is regarding the ambi side. I've had some that never walk and others that just don't stay put and you need to pinch them every so often to close that little gap between the frame and safety. What are your tricks to ensure they don't walk out?

Didn't see much on dirty bullets; my $0.02. Area 3, primarily Kansas, Missouri, & Nebraska ranges. CZ Shadow - Hybrid Angus gun (long story) 147grn Molly (Black Bullets) 1.135" OAL 3.2 grns Titegroup = 131 P/F (three bullet ave out of cold/clean gun) Match chrono was 133 P/F (warm gun) 3.3 grns Titegroup = 133 P/F (three bullet ave out of cold/clean gun) Match chrono was 135 P/F (warm gun) (side note: I really liked how the gun reacted to this load, my No. 1) FFT - 3.3 load through a stock G34 produced 131 PF at the Missouri Fall classic...thought it was "longer barrel higher P/F"...hmm

.......The Sig slide is just over a pound; mine weighed in at 16.4 oz. For a comparison I also weighed some Kimber’s, Spring Field's, and an original 1917 Colt; these ranged from 12.2-12.4 oz. With the Sig being my primary L-10 gun I put some carbide to it and whittled away---now the slide is 12.2-3 oz (the scale bounced between .2 & .3). .......I let people shoot it next to theirs and the mutual comment is usually about the trigger, short reset, crisp...the usual. Only one person has commented on the weight feeling the same as their pistol (BTW it's stainless). .......The extractor, after purchasing the pistol I did the usual azz-backwards thing and searched the net for any issue’s and came across the extractor, “…after 300-350 rounds they break”. Sure enough at round 326 it broke and within 48 hours I had my pistol back at home with the so-called second gen extractor in it. I have not had any issues since; I stopped counting rounds after 60K---I also have three NIB EGW extractors sitting in a box somewhere.

Once you get about 0.013" - 0.015" deep it softens up (not much though) however it's those first few thou' that kill the end mill (carbide). Food for thought: forget about plunge cutting with a flat bottom, they just walk and leave a nasty slot. Go with a ball cutter to get things going.

Well...the gunsmith has 0.0005" of play max to put that comp on (bore axis alignment). Regardless if the barrel is already threaded the barrel will need to be "fitted" to the comp which means cutting it and re-crowning it. Just a couple of things to consider.

The DOH is removable: Belt Loop / DOH / Holster or Belt Loop / Holster

Turned out really good, to bad it took this long to get the final product but dang it turned out nice! Well worth the wait, how's the muzzle rise, etc...have carbide can cut more PS - nice detail's on it Josh!

I think I have something to work with... Load Data: 200 grn Rainier Plated SWC Winchester once fired Winchester Large pistol primers OAL @ 1.26" Shot 10 rounds and after tossing the high and low I seen an average of ~848 fps with no pressure signs Finally! Curious, do barrels get slower or faster with age? With shooting the same loads I have found here mine is a snail.

200 grn Rainier Plated SWC Clays @ 3.8, 4.0, & 4.2 to start OAL 1.21" (this may change pending how the bullet looks seated in the case) Winchester LPP's Winchester brass once fired I was able to chrono the above rounds, not good though. I changed the OAL to 1.22, the best I got out of these was 833 fps but then again it was a spike. I went up to 4.4 grn's of Clays and 1.26 OAL. This recipie looked like the 4.2 load @ 1.22. I'll stick with the 1.26 OAL (because the bullet looked good seated) and bump the grn's to 4.6.

My past load: 185 grn Zero JHP Clays @ 4.4 grn OAL 1.21" Winchester LPP's Winchester brass once fired Note: these didn't even break 800 fps Next go will be: 200 grn Rainier Plated SWC Clays @ 3.8, 4.0, & 4.2 to start OAL 1.21" (this may change pending how the bullet looks seated in the case) Winchester LPP's Winchester brass once fired I should be able to get these chrono'ed today, fingers crossed.
