Are you sure, cuz, I'm pretty sure that's in there somewhere... Honestly, I'm sick and tired of trying to defend gaming. Gaming is understanding the rules... like chess... if I execute an "en passant" move... and you don't know that rule, because you don't understand the game, does that mean I just cheated? In IDPA the answer seems to be Yes more often than No... I didn't work my butt off to get the ranking in IDPA that I have, to be told that I cheated to get it. It's a game people, a competition, I can and will go faster than you... get over it and practice.

Same reason I went with a 22/45 close to the 1911 feel. 22/45 is a great choice, here is my setup, and it works well for what I do with it... Base Model Ruger 22/45 Grip Panels sanded down and Hogue 1911 grips added. (I want some VZ grips eventually) Tac Sol 6.5" fluted and threaded Allchin Comp C-More 8 MOA sight (I want a 12 just haven't done it) 90 degree Taccom mount Custom Slide Racker (some guy on Rimfire Central) Volquartsen Trigger kit Iron sights left on so I can pull the optic and goto Irons Division when I want to. Grip tape in strategic locations

Check out the Alchin Comp for the 22/45... I will confess that I have not run with and without against the timer, but I feel my timing is better with the comp on the end.. The alchin is a aluminum comp, does add a little weight, but not like the VQ. I do run a TacSol barrel and VQ trigger as well on the gun, with a C-More... it's a pretty light setup and moves right along.

If your switching from 45 to 40 your changing out the primer ram as well from large to small... when you pull the primer feed unit off the press to switch the ram, pull off the plastic rod and put your finger over the end of the feed tube and tip it over, then dump it out on a left over primer tray and store till later. Or as mention, just prime the remaining brass and set it aside.

Shoot the single stack!!!! It's hard to explain, but there is a psychological thing of only having limited rounds in the gun and shooting 5 plates that makes you more accurate (and therefore faster). You want to hit the plates without having to do a reload, and you just do. Throw in a hi-cap gun, and you try and go faster and you end up missing plates. Of course, it's all to a point, but if you haven't shot steel before, this is true...

I agree with Merlin... I love CDP and ain't scared of them other brands. Recoil is recoil, once you learn what it is, it doesn't matter if it's 9mm or 45. So without causing the dreaded thread lock that I see coming... Why can't we just read the rules, obey them and shoot the sport and enjoy it, instead of complaining about how it would be better if... It would be better if I could shoot down 0 for the entire match, and not miss a reload, and not hit a no shoot and shoot the fastest time of the day... And none of those have a thing to do with the caliber of the gun or the division that I am shooting in.

I personally think the spaceman-spiff guns are pretty cool, I'm just not personally interested in owning/shooting one (yet). That's what I thought too until a month ago when I put one of the Buck Roger sights on my .22 steel gun... now I have to say, the appeal is there for me to put one on my real gun now...

I've looked thru both, and I use the Vortex PST and really like it. It is shooter preference, but I shoot a lot of long range and the mil reticle feels right at home, so I don't have a problem with how busy it is. I love the clarity of the glass and the field of view is great. The illumination isn't quite bright enough for sunny days, but I still run with it on during a match, because when it hits the target, paper or gong type, it pops a little bit more than just being black. There is no doubt the reticle is the MTAC is easier and less confusing... but for the money, it was/is a good scope. Just my 2cents...

As for the hitch, other have come close to losing digits and other parts of body trying to remove said cover from said rig, and same for the plate You should do a road trip though, we put on some fine matches up here

It's easy to figure it out. Get a timer :-) Shoot a bill drill with the 92D and find a buddy with a gun you want, and shoot a bill drill with it. Compare your times with your splits (You also want good hits) and see what the difference is.

I do own the classic 1911 a Kimber Gold Match Custom Series 1, and a Wilson Compact CQB. As dictated, no light rails... an abomination to say the least. Photo's below for number 5. Note added...no fiber exists on these fine works of art. Black sights. 2. Proof of use back to 2007... I will also briefly summarize my brief accomplishments during this time period: 2007 Idaho State IDPA Match CDP SS 1st place (2nd CDP Overall) 2008 Idaho State IDPA Match CDP Division Champion 2009 Idaho State IDPA Match CDP 2nd Place Expert 2010 Idaho State IDPA Match CDP 1st Place Master 2011 Idaho State IDPA Match CDP 1st Place Master 2012 1911 Single Stack .45 Match - 1st Place There are a few smattering of other accomplishments with the single stack, but these are the high points... 3. I have not used a polymer pistol in competition. I must confess however to being bitten by the Austrian bug last summer. I managed to use a JMB inspired 2011 to win the B Class Champion of the MGM Man on Man Grand Nationals...(please excuse the use of the non 1911) on the prize table was the opportunity for a free Austrian polymer toy, and I was briefly smitten with it, so I got it. Upon receiving said toy, I spent 1 day, and only 1 day fondling the abomination of a tool. I was so thoroughly disgusted that without every chambering a round, or putting it in a holster, it was banished to the want adds for some poor sucker to acquire... and was removed from my presence withing 24hours after that. I most humbly ask for your forgiveness in this most egregiousness transgression, and submit to you that I have fallen, but quickly recovered and have not looked back since. 4. I am a most ardent supporter of the 1911, and would never blasphemy the creation of God himself. 5. I submit for exhibit 5 a photo of 2 1911's complete with a fitting shirt that is worn on days of importance. I would also respectfully submit some "bonus" proof of my snobbish adoration of the 1911... My license plate of my truck: As added flair, I also have a customized hitch cover plate. (Made by a 1911 owner as well) I also have been the Match Director and creator of the 1911 Centennial Single Stack Match in .45 only. and as submitted with previous video held again this year. This was a great match last year and we are doing it again! April 14th, 2012 Parma Rod and Gun Club, Parma, ID Cost $35 - Included Lunch! Love the gun, and no complaints with stag at all... Just the dealer that I chose to get it from. So far the existing comp is fine, I'll just have to unpin it to swap out a couple different comps when I get around to it. Everyone that has handled it is impressed with it, and that trigger is gold. And the price is unbeatable for what you get. Can't wait for 3 gun season to get here.

Same here... I actually really like the stock that fixed stock it is very comfortable... my only complaint and it's not about the 3G, is that the dealer I got it from didn't tell me that the only 3G they had in stock was a Ban State Configuration. They only said it came with a 10round mag instead of a 30... I even called and specifically asked them if this was a Kali complient gun and was there any other difference's... they told me no, the mag was the only difference. I got the gun, complained about the stock, and they sent me a ACS, which was nice, but I couldn't put it on because the fixed length buffer tube needs to be replaced, and new spring and buffer... anyway at that point I just dropped it and kept the extra stock and shot the gun... which is awesome... however, now I notice that the comp is pinned, and I hear it may even be welded... now that really sucks.. So be careful out there... if you buy the 10round mag version it is a fixed stock, pinned and possibly welded comp... someone is changing something and not telling the buyer... that sucks.

Hey guys, Sorry for the problem. I'm the guy behind the website registration... thought we had it dialed in, got a few kinks worked out early and WHAM! ran head long into this. I knew that the MGM Ironman was highly anticipated match, but didn't realize how much till last night. I had a web issues that we've cleared up, and we are working with our host company to streamline and get the right system in place to handle the 10 minutes of crazy love you guys have ready to unleash. Right now we are going to aim for mid next week. Get things reset, do a little load testing and try it again. If the testing doesn't go well, we have a Plan B in the works as well, and a Plan C. check the web page for details, right now it say's Wed, but that is tentative. I think I like option 3 as well, death race to Caldwell. My humblest apologies to the 3 gun masses... I have to admit, that's the first time a host company has pulled the plug on me before... not sure if I should get a shirt made or not. Brian K.

The Idaho State match will be announced soon, just putting the details together for this year's rockin match! I'm biased towards the Idaho match, because we have great shooters coming to shoot, and always come up with some creative prop/use of props for stage that makes them fun. We shot the postal match finally after last months snow out at the range. CDP/MA - 53.16 It was a good day, but I haven't had the gun in my hand in a couple of months. 1st 2 stages of the day were great, last 2 of the day sucked... when you don't shoot for a while, it's amazing how the focus just ain't there. On the square box drill, I started to reload after the 3 shots DOH!, recovered pulled the next shot and then finished. Might try it again in ESP with my EX in a couple weeks at another club match, we'll see. Might have to run it again in CDP for self gratification.

Missed yesterday... too long of a day to pick up the gun. But got done a little early tonight, and have spent the last 45 minutes going through my dryfire drills... Slow draw and focused aim at 1/3rd size printed targets... need to remember tape next time I travel. worked up to speed on draw and fire. Then worked on transitions... Spent some time over the bed reloading, getting the gun up in my face and reloading instead of dropping it down to by belly... back to turn and draws, and 2 on each... Room is big enough I can draw and advance and retreat while working the trigger. did some kneel/draw drills and some seated at desk draw drills... taking advantage of the furniture in the room to work on strange start positions. Talked on the phone for a while with the wife while working on strong hand and weak hand drills... gun feels good in the hand and on the hip... back in the suitcase for the drive home and maybe run out to the range tomorrow night in preparation for Sat's match. Time for some water and off to bed...
