  1. For some reason I have a hard time saying this was a good moive. Maybe because to me it is more than a movie. I have met some of them that were there and knowing thats what they went through is bothersome. Yea maybe it didnt happen JUST like they showed it but from what I hear it was close very close. The first time I watched it I was so mad I couldnt sleep the rest of the night. Make me want to load up and go shoot some skinneis. Well not really but you know what I mean.
  2. 86% STUD or was that dud.
  3. Now excuse me for being so new to this, but if I'm understanding this correctly you are saying they lumped all divisions together to compete for the prize table. Please tell me I'm wrong. I don't understand this one. Someone help me out here am I missing something. Why even have diffrent classes or divisions. Who is(are) the one(s) the we need to talk to. Talk about hairbrained. I'm glad I could'nt go now. Do you think it was done because there were so many unclassified shooters? (Edited by Jon Merricks at 10:04 pm on July 24, 2002)
  4. I run mine in the tumbler for about an hour. No probs here. Also welcome aboard Erik.
  5. Just wanted to see if anybody is going that may want to get a squad together.
  6. JFD, I'm in the same boat as you. I always seem to have a malfunction of some type during a classifier. The last one I had a mag fall out of the gun and two mikes to boot. I had one that was so low they didnt even post it. I'm just planning on moving up by my finishes in the big matches.
  7. Babies are great. Healthy Babies are even better. Give the family a BE hug from all of us. Congratulations.
  8. Kath you have opened yourself up for alot of emails on that one.
  9. Polo sounds good. But Mock neck long sleeve sounds better.
  10. OK your back. What the latest on the shirts. Man I feel like a kid at Christmas waiting on these bad boys.
  11. I got a pair of Rudy's and they are the best I've ever tried. Lifetime warranty on the lens.
  12. Good going Brad almost a Master Class % on that last classifier. Few more of those and you will be in A in no time.
  13. JFD, My thinking was along the same line as your untill a couple of days ago. I have only been shooting IPSC for about 6 months now and have found out that I was putting to much stress on my self about my classification status. I've won L-10 at club matches and came in 5th in Limited the only time I shot in it. I came in 9th (I think) this year at the sectional. If you look at my classification stages then look at the rest of them that I shoot they are real low. My only goal now is to quit making stupid mistakes and to think outside the box. Sure I would like to be a Master Class shooter but untill then I really dont think my class really matters. Well I say that now but I'll probably post it every where when I make A.
  14. My guess you've never been shot at for trying to help somebody. My guess is you have never had your best buddy shot by some one who just dont give a damn. My guess is you have never told a Buddies Widow that if her or her kids need any thing to call you, because Daddy was killed keeping the streets safe. My guess is you never had your child kiddnaped by an armed fool and needed someone to go and get them. My guess is you have never kicked in the door to a crack house and been met by a dealer with nothing to loose. My guess is you have never helped your locals do anything to improve what you say they are doing wrong. My guess is you never will have or done any of these things. This is not a slam Eric cause I like you "but thats just how I feel". I'm done here.
  15. Like Chris I've been there and done that. Im just a lowly old C shooter and mop up the range with just about any LEO in the county. I havent shot my duty gun in months but all the things Ive learned in ISPC still apply to work and has made me a better shooter with my duty gun as well. DVC says it all. One thing I like to say to all the tactical ones is why is some of the top IPSC shooters teaching the world's best Military and LE teams.
  16. Thanks Carlos for the info. But I only need info on Universal Clays.
  17. Even though I'm new to IPSC myself I got to help out a new shooter at a match saturday. He is a IDPA shooter and came to our match to shoot L-10 but only like two spare mags and holders. I shot limited so I took one of my holders off and let him borrow it. Another guy let him borrow a mag. If you helped a new shooter lately give it a shot. Makes you feel good. Man there are a bunch of great people in this sport.
  18. EricW Volumetrically efficient? What do you mean? I have been using TG but I just came across some Uni for $10.00 per lbs. One time buy only. Thats better than the $17.00 per lbs Ive been paying for TG. Whats you load for 45?
  19. As a new IPSC shooter I would say yes at an area or national match and maybe a sectional. But at a local match with low fee's I say no. Or maybe I have it all wrong.
  20. I guess I should have posted before Im loading to OAL in 40 is 1.200 and 1.250 in 45. Thanks for the info Ship. (Edited by Jon Merricks at 5:34 pm on July 11, 2002)
  21. He showed up at last saturdays club match here in NC. What a surprise. He shot production. So if I had to guess it would be that.
  22. I havent seen alot of data here on Universal Clays. I came across a great buy on some and need some info. I plan on reloading it in 40 using MG 180gr jhp and lead 180 gr want around 170pf. I'm doing some reoloading for a friend using LC 200gr swc pf doesnt matter. Does anyone have info on Universal Clays. Why dont I see alot of people using it?
  23. The bad part is on my first run I was smoking it but when I drew my gun some how my elbow hit the timer so the RO stopped me during my reload. My hits were good and time was going to be great, but. Then my second run I was so flustered because I had to go clean my mag and get ready all over again. Had two mikes on the middle target. Then I shot it again in a diffrent division (still trying to get classified) and on the week hand part my mag falls out. MAN that sucks.
  24. When I said cut I was talking about knee surgery trying to repair cartilage.
